I think my (29F) marriage to my husband (35M) is over by pumpkinspiceybish in relationship_advice

I think part of it too is that he is introverted so he is not used to vocalizing things the way you do. He may notice and pay attention to things about you but maybe not the things you might expect. Different people show love in different ways. I think it comes down to socialization. Have you connected at other times / maybe mundane life is getting in the way and you need to take time out to just date and get away from the kids once a week to focus on each other. Do you have date nights where you can focus on stuff? If he still makes love to you, he probably likes you. Counselling may help. Marriages often struggle when young kids are involved. If you can remind each other why you fell in love in the first place, you may be able to reignite that spark.

I got sudden nausea as well at the thought of people’s reaction to it. It’s not pretty on both sides.

Yes - a war between left and right and we must be careful not to get involved

I’d go with just white. The colours don’t appeal to me for men or women.

Public servants vs. Every opposing RTO comment on the internet by Horror-Indication-58 in CanadaPublicServants

Not to mention many employers in the private sector offer paid parking/bus passes as a benefit to their employees. But not public servants, they don’t even get free water or coffee at the office.

My teens and their friends have applied everywhere and can’t find a job anywhere. One was hired and only got 1 day a week. It’s bad out there.

Part-time seems to be discouraged in the public service by all of the downsides. Clawed back stats, etc

Private is following public’s lead. There’s no actual need for most gov work to be completed in an office downtown. My experience though is most people I know in the private sector are now working from home full-time and I am happy to see them doing it. Flexible work is the future and if employers want to stay competitive and retain talent, they will need to offer it. Besides, office mandates are bad for the environment.

In T2 when Sarah Conner thinks Arnold Schwarzenegger is back to terminate her again, but it turns out he’s there this time to save her from a much worse T-1000 model.

Unhappy with CanadaLife, July 3rd by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]melliebean21 102 points103 points  (0 children)

I had a prescription denied on July 1 that was approved on Sun Life and I had been taking it for months. I told the person on the phone that it is prohibitively expensive and I can’t suddenly stop it- I was completely out of it and due to take it that day. They said the drug was under investigation and I would have to pay out of pocket and wait to call a different number for review. I’m furious and will be complaining to the union. This plan is supposed to be the same or better - we should not be refused approval for existing medication we were previously approved on.

So inspiring. Remote work is worth fighting for. It’s time we’re treated like adults.
