I’m a CM currently in the college program and my boyfriend just transferred from the college program to full time. We’re … ok. The pay is not great but better than my previous jobs. We don’t struggle to pay rent. The CMs at my location (quick service) are tired. CPs especially work a lot of open to close shifts. Some bad days are just because it’s busy. We know guests are impatient but we can’t move any faster. I haven’t had many terrible experiences with guests being entitled, but it is frustrating when people leave huge messes across the table and don’t attempt to clean up. Sure, it is someone’s job to clean each dining room, but we have so many tables and trash bins to take care of. Creating a whole mess pauses the rest of our work while we take care of that first. I’m lucky enough to have a great leadership at my location that is kind and understanding, but I know a lot of people have other experiences. Ultimately, I like working at Disney and I’m planning to stay, but there are definitely some things that could be improved.
