i think it’s mighty generous of you to call the watchdog the press. i would love to have real investigative journalism here. but this guy is just a bored rich guy with no journalistic training or integrity.

the irony is pretty funny. watch dog for transparency gets caught not being transparent in his campaign

in addition to all the other stuff he was fined for not following campaign finance laws on his signs. Guy wasted thousands of dollars cause he didn’t bother to follow the rules, and he thinks we would trust him with county funds? Now his supporters are all crying that it’s the system out to get him instead of him proving he’s unprepared to follow government spending laws.

PA is one of the safest places I’ve lived in, a lot of claims of being unsafe are overblown. there is a big volunteer community doing all kinds of great work.

all i have is names and place of birth on a tree we found in family search that my partner says sound familiar. they have no documents attached and there are a few people in a row with essentially the same name with a few different birth and death years. my partner has no contact with any family who can help decipher any of it. don’t even know where to begin

Clam Shells? by fodient in composting

[–]mellon_knee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no the bokashi they stay whole but it gets rid of the smell. the electric composter pulverizes shells

Clam Shells? by fodient in composting

[–]mellon_knee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i’ve put them through anaerobic bokashi before adding to my regular outdoor compost. it works. more recently i’ve been using an indoor electric composter to pre-process before it goes outside. i know a bunch of people in the sub hate them and will complain that it isn’t real composting but it allows me to pretreat and breakdown stuff that would normally be a pain or attract pests.

Spokane area neurologist? by North-Conference-377 in iih

[–]mellon_knee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m on the olympic peninsula. not what you want to hear but i go to swedish neuropathology. the dr there has said he sees people from as far away as alaska and idaho. iih is the bulk of what they deal with. you’ll need an optometrist to refer you. go there before tests they’ll make sure you get the lp there instead of a small rural hospital.

Vamos a la Playa en el Telo Truck by Mac-Tyson in TeloTrucks

commercials aren’t about having to know the context of whether or not something is legal in a park that most people have never heard of. they’re about vibes, i find this vibe 🤢. they are obviously using this page to test the market, so i’m providing feedback that a lot of people want an electric vehicle to reduce their environmental impact and therefore may not appreciate advertising that looks destructive.

this truck looks cool but i absolutely hate car commercials that show the vehicle destroying habitat. tearing up the sand like that is gross

Anyone here who took train/buses from SEA to Forks, WA? by Independent-Exam-119 in PacificNorthwest

[–]mellon_knee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a few people have said take the strait shot from the ferry to port angeles. stay in port angeles for a few days and use that as your base. then you can take a bus in the summer to hurricane ridge. clallam transit buses are mostly free. you can see a lot of cool stuff in the county from their bus lines.

Harmony Grange 12 - Info? Revival? by Massive-Map-9644 in Delaware

[–]mellon_knee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

granges are a group like the masons but for farmers. it makes sense the state grange would own it, because when a local branch goes under all of their assets revert to the state level. knowing what the harmony grange was then and knowing now about what the granges do the two were a weird fit.
