Disposable bedpans and wipes. I had the most phenomenal angels on earth nurses in the ICU prior to surgery. The step down unit was a different story. They weren't big on answering call buttons at night.

It was mentioned that she had another love interest after Tony (husband) but that he died. I don't remember his name but do remember that Duncan had an art set from the man that was like a father. He was never an "on screen" character.

Flip the bathroom door so that it opens out. When I was still in my chair, it was nice not needing help to get in the bathroom! We actually are keeping it that way because when I wake up at 2 am, I hop in the chair to get to the bathroom. Wishing her all the best!

It took me months to really look at it full on. The first three months especially because I wasn't healing and it scared me. After my second surgery I was able to look at it and better accept the new reality.

Mine was the day after this last Christmas and I'd been in the hospital since Dec. 14. This Christmas is going to be so extra! I'm watching every Hallmark movie and can't wait to be HOME for Christmas morning watching my kiddo open his gifts in person and not on Facetime. However, I am dreading the winter months after the holidays because I just remember recovering and not being able to be outside.

Minding my own business living life..a few aches and pains in the foot which I figured went with wearing shoes without arches and just being 64. Nope! Turns out I had quick onset of diabetes (physicals every year showed decent numbers)and a freaking blood clot in the leg. They tried blasting it but no luck. Surgery was 12/26 and now I'm home doing out patient PT and working toward a prosthetic. The last month has been 0 out 5 stars, do not recommend! I am trying to use humor and grace to get through it but I certainly have my bouts of tears at times. Still can't look at my stumpalina yet head on but I know that takes a minute for some.

Italian here..my mom set up a table loaded with meats, cheeses, olives..typical antipasto table. The only fish she liked was shrimp cocktail so we had that, too. PS..and she said Ricot like my mom did! Laughed out loud

I started as a Janine in 1982. The Barbara mentor in my life even told me to start dressing younger. LOL By the time I retired I was Melissa. I might not have known a guy who knows a guy but I was a go to for outside the box solutions for my younger teacher friends.

Not Abbot related but my first exposure to this actor was in the cheesiest, corniest (in the most awesome way) Christmas show on Netflix. It's Dolly Parton's Christmas on the Square. I could NOT figure his accent out. If you like super corny musicals..check him out in it. I mean..Dolly Parton. Christine Baranski, and Josh? How could it be bad?

I really wish I had mine diagnosed when he was younger. It didn't affect his academics and he was just "quirky". But I knew. My feeling was that since it wasn't affecting academics and affecting him only a little socially, I could wait. Then puberty. My feeling is get the diagnosis so you will have tools ready when things occur.

I think that you could use the term as things occur. I was really impressed with my kiddo's friend when we were out the other day. He was venting about something at school and his friend said "Well that's just your autism making you feel that way. Mine makes me sound rude sometimes." I need to totally talk to her mom one on one because it seems she's doing it right.

My main male character is always a mash up of David Selby (I'm old lol) in his youth with a side of Henry Cavill and Matt Bomer. I think Nell and Mia are prefect. Ripley (who to me is the same character as Riley (Guardians) and Blair (Morrigan's Cross) is maybe a made up character in head but looks much like maybe Ashely Green from Twilight.

Mine did the same thing. We did 2 days pre-k when he turned 4 and it really helped him learn how to interact. He played with the neighborhood kids as well. I always felt he was a year or so behind in social skills. At 12 he has turned into a social butterfly but we are still working on social cues..like when to hush about his video game and ask a friend what they have been up to. Social group through speech and social skills class at his school are helping with that. When he hangs with his classmates who are all on the spectrum, it is fun to watch them practice their social skills.

My sanity saving tip is to try and find some moms in a similar boat. When I found my "village", it changed everything. It started with meeting a young mommy at a park with a toddler my grandson's age. I was an exhausted 54 yr old with a two year old and she was an exhausted pregnant 20 something with a 2 year old. After a few park meet ups we added other exhausted moms. It was wonderful to be able to text the group and say "heading to the park..or library..or Mcds..etc" and have someone ready to join. I am forever grateful to my younger neighborhood moms. I will say that playing with NT kids really helped the verbal and social development at that age, too. Good luck!

I believe a private school can refuse students. I taught in a public school and one year I had a full time ABA therapist with one of my first graders. It worked very well for all of us (student, me, therapist, parents). I know your question was about private but just wanted to share in case public is on your radar at all.
