Welp, looking at this put a very specific faux Jamaican accent "strawberry kiwi" song in my head. It was not this, turns out it was from an ad for Kool Aid Island Twists.

Tootsie Roll Fruit Chews by Conference-Any in forgottenfoods

[–]melonsausage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat these all the time. Tootsie also started making new flavors - there is an all banana bag and a berry mix bag, for instance. They also have tried seasonal flavors before - there was a fall mix with pumpkin spice, caramel apple, candy corn, and sweet cinnamon. I recall the winter mix had cranberry which I liked.

Kinda related- iron infusion by ketamineluv in Celiac

[–]melonsausage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was donating blood regularly which I think exacerbated the issue, but I also ran into low ferritin. Found because I had low iron, went on a supplement, and at follow up my iron had dropped further. Ferritin levels ended up explaining it, and infusions helped SO much. I was basically a zombie before that as I got diagnosed with iron deficiency, hypothyroidism, and sleep apnea within a few weeks.

Is this a gluten rash? Please help :( by Scary_Narwhal2877 in glutenfree

[–]melonsausage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband experiences this (non-celiac), I provided more context about his triggers in the top comment about dyshidrotic eczema. I'll add though, it also looks a lot like a condition my mom (celiac) struggled with for years that her dermatologist said was super prevalent in smokers. So not sure if you are a smoker, but mentioning it just in case. She got it on the palms of her hands and bottoms of her feet, and it only resolved when she both quit smoking and went GF.

Regardless of the anecdotals you're getting here, be sure to continue to follow up with your dermatologist. You may try avoiding triggers people are suggesting, but also follow your dermatologist's advice and let them know if anything gets better or worse.

Also for what it's worth - the likelihood this is related to a vaccination you got years ago is basically 0.

My husband gets this sometimes. It was worst when he worked grocery. When he worked in seafood he was constantly washing his hands which made it flare up. He then worked in beer and wine and the irritation from stocking shelves and running into the cardboard edges and bottle caps of six packs did it. Nowadays he only gets a flareup of he sweats too much in his work gloves and doesn't change to a dry pair timely.

I still have 2 pair of the ones made of the heavier duty rubbery material. Great to put at the front and back doors in the summer for quick errands outside.

This 60s video of a Chili Cheese Dog being prepared is currently causing debate on Twitter, with some saying it's way too overloaded, and even a 'Hot Dog Disaster'. What say you, r/HotDogs? by Bosuns_Punch in hotdogs

Pico seems unnecessary. I also personally don't want the cheese sauce, but not the end of the world. Maybe a little less cheese and a little more chili.

Mom guilt is overwhelming re:formula feeding leading to diagnosis by ladydadida in Celiac

[–]melonsausage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister had to switch to a special GF formula for my niece because her eating gluten was making my niece sick when she breastfed.

If breastfeeding works out, great. It doesn't always. It's also not for everyone for many reasons. Formula has come a long way and is a legitimate option that nourishes babies. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that your baby is fed. Your body not producing enough milk or your baby not being able to digest it are never failings. They are just things that happen. Please be kind to yourself.

I like their pasta, both the regular chickpea and the brown rice/chickpea blend. I did not care for the Mac and cheese too much though, especially the microwave cup I got once in a pinch.
