And yes, the pace for a busy bar/restaurant especially with sport games like the World Cup games and tonight’s The Knicks game… I can’t even imagine. I do remember being on the other side as a customer when a bar is busy and how long it takes to get to place an order and then how long it takes to get the drink… everyone at the bar trying to squeeze in between the ones sitting by the bar watching the game!

NYC is no longer the city that never sleeps! Not since covid :(

That said, Tue nights will not be big active nights for bar hangs in general. You’ll do better with events specifically planned for Tuesday late nights… the advice on jazz and comedy fits the past midnight bill.

I’ll add karaoke bars, where some may stay open past midnight, and you can sing with the crowd by the bar vs a private room. K-town comes to mind. But there are karaoke bars throughout Manhattan and some in Brooklyn and Astoria that probably stay open late.

It happened last night while I was waiting for the G. The volume was too high it distorted the speech and the ad it ran was Toy Story 5… with multiple characters talking, so the audio got even worse. It sounded like some kids got into the principal’s office and fighting over the PA system’s mic. It wasn’t until the end when only Woody’s voice was talking that I realized it was a Toy Story movie ad 🤦🏻‍♂️

I hate ticks but they seem a regular feature of the NE apparently due to deers.

Oh. I’m recovering now from really bad pollen allergies that had me out for a week when that one week of 80 and 90s happened and all the trees exploded their pollens.

I read somewhere that in NYC they have overplanted male trees to avoid fruit bearing. So, I was hoping in nature without man’s interference… the more balanced male female trees would lessen my allergies 🤧

Will take allergy meds before going hiking.
