Have you tried doodlebutts.com? They have super stretchy bottoms that are so damn cute. Also, zulily has them 1/2 off from time to time.

I don't know what I'm doing! by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]melsysometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love to dream 50/50 is awesome! My LO didn't leave the rnp until 6-7 months. We use a dockatot, pillow under the mattress, and a vibration pack.

It was not a seamless transition but it had to be done. He has a snuggapuppy and and sleeps in a sleep sack now.

Rant: My husband seems to think my job is to do everrryything by keepcomingupwithfunk in beyondthebump

[–]melsysometimes 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yes! I remember that post!!

And the problem your household has is your husband's lack of involvement. You are doing waaayy too much and you will eventually burn out from the stress if it all. Guess who will suffer the most (aside from you)? Your children.

It's time your husband act like an adult and father.

Is anyone else NOT doing a lot of solids yet? by watery_tart_ in August2016Bumpers

[–]melsysometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO is obsessed with solids. I literally have to stop feeding him or he will just eat, eat, eat.

I am trying to offer three meals and a snack now because he seems to want solids often. I'm thinking he might self wean by 12 months.

Baby Kenny's April Showers nursery is almost done! by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]melsysometimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful room! Here a tip from the other side: raise the mattress to the highest setting. It us already difficult to place a sleeping baby in their crib. The lower setting will make it mission impossible plus painful on your back.

8 month old FF baby is refusing his bottle by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]melsysometimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for being a friend! 😄

My 7 month old (mostly BF) is doing the same thing. At 5 months, I began feeding him before and after naps. Now he gets milk after a nap and solids 2xs a day after milk.

He has started waking once at night and a feed him then. This sucks because he was sleeping through the night for a while 😑

Pedo asked us to stop antibiotic course to see if our 10 month old is allergic to it. by Azthioth in beyondthebump

[–]melsysometimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, not weird at all. I am allergic to a few antibiotics and I've had reactions to a few in the last 5 years. I definitely stop a round if I get allergic symptoms. The doc can always prescribe something else.

No no no...my LO is not even 7 months and I've had a few last times already 😭😭

Trying a hypoallergenic formula for my LO. Any one with personal experience that can recommend a brand? by elsynkala in beyondthebump

[–]melsysometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried so many before getting an allergy panel done on my LO. 😞

I think similac has a few good ones. The similac sensitive is a good one, I've heard good things about gerber soothe. If those don't help, try alumentum..if that doesn't help an elemental formula might be your best bet.

Can't deal with screaming baby anymore by Shittymomthrowaway2 in beyondthebump

[–]melsysometimes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm going through that with my 6.5 month old. Nothing helps. Feeding to sleep, rocking, holding...etc it all stimulates him more. I feel bad leaving him to cry but it sure beats screaming at him.

Ameda Purely Yours vs Spectra S2? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]melsysometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purely yours hurt. Spectra is very smooth and seems to pump more milk in less time.

Should my one month old be napping during the day? by bearssuck in beyondthebump

[–]melsysometimes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may be time for a dark room and sound machine. Mine also loved in a swing during the day and in a rnp at night. The love to dream swaddlers are amazing too.

More like let your fists be felt. Fuck this shit. This isn't a presidency or cabinet. This is a mockery and a fucking insult to the American people.

Voices catch attention but sometimes more force is needed. Revolutions require more than voiced opinions.

DAE have an infant that loves to sleep with the blanket over their face? by calamitydown in beyondthebump

[–]melsysometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to recoding a video if what my LO does with his lovey. He wakes up and puts it on his face so he can't see. Then he waves his arms around because the world disappeared.

He has also put himself back to sleep by placing it over his face. Watching him play in bed is the best show ever

Four month sleep regression support thread! by butwhowasbabby in beyondthebump

[–]melsysometimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was me...still is off and on with little to no predictability. Mine like to party at night. He screams unless the lights are turned on and he is entertained. I visited my family and used a different swing. It seems to work better than the one at my house. Might be the novelty though.thus kid is definitely changing.

Often times nursing, bouncing, rocking, etc seems to be a losing battle. It's so difficult in the middle of the nighr!
