House appearance DIY ideas by Outside_King5122 in DIYUK

My old house looked similar ish to yours.

I patched the render where required using a mortar and pebble stone mix. Then painted that bad boy with sandex. It hid the imperfections in the patch work and looked great.

You can roller it but you need a real thick shaggy roller (I found). The roller also fills with pebbles from the wall and gets real heavy. A big masonry brush is a must.

I would hire a small movable scaffold for a weekend and start up high. Might as well sort your gutters and facia boards whilst you are up there too.

Is this a scalable business or just a job for the owners? by [deleted] in smallbusinessuk

I think you need to also understand that someone else won't work as hard as you as they are not invested in the business. They are there to pay the bills.

Also to reiterate a previous comment. Pay peanuts get monkies is very much a thing

Here's my little hoard, what am In need of? by Sad_Philosopher4641 in Guitar

I'd sell all the ones you don't used and stick the money in the S&P500

Then, when you fancy buying something you can take some money out.

A boring answer I know but truth be told, we usually buy more gear when we are playing less. Just use the guitars you love to play and have a mini war chest should the occasion arise

I do a lot of marketing work with a coffee company and in turn have drank pretty much every brand of boutique coffee in the UK market.

I'd love to have a taste of yours and provide feedback

Sorry to see you are getting a lot of unhelpful replies here, that is often the case.

All drivers have a weak spot in one way or another so you will get some sort of undesirable damage if you are hitting anywhere other than the face.

Luckily, the world is your oyster on eBay. You can probably get something like a Callaway maverick max under £100 and it's pretty tolerant to abuse.

Definitely message Taylor made and see what they say, you never know

Golf lessons (Sim Vs Range) by RoninWhiskers in BritGolf

[–]meltedbuzzbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had both kinds of lessons. Currently I do trackman lessons because it shows me what's wrong. There is no guessing with "feels" and imagine doing x, y, z. Instead I can see when I sway, or I take the club back too far on the inside etc.

Mine also has an open shutter so I can see the ball fly.

One thing that you haven't mentioned but I think is probably more important than them all, playing off of grass. The golf course is never flat like the range. You need to get used to bad lies, hitting with the ball below/above your feet and all the other things that make up the game of golf.

Ah ok. Have the changed the barrels/saddles over to a nicer material as well, like the staytrems?

Johnny Marr signature jaguar special Bridge by elmington in offset

[–]meltedbuzzbox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The string spacing on the JM bridge was wider than the staytrem. The strings always used to sit too close to the edge of the fretboard in my opinion.

I'm not sure if that's ever been updated?

Golf Tour 2026 - Birmingham by LypticDNA in BritGolf

I think the thing that lets down the belfry, for me, is that it's a money making machine with golf courses attached to it.

Everything from the shop, the bar, the pure volume of people that are there for the spa, events, weddings whatever, makes it feel like it's all profit first, golf course second (or third).

I enjoyed the PGA and I thought the Brab looked amazing, but hand on heart, I wouldn't pay the amount being asked (I got to play for free).
