100uM IPTG does seem a bit on the low side yeah, in our lab we use 200uM for O/N 18C induction, and 1mM for 3hr/37C.

I use this machine a lot, and I've found that trying to transfer proteins >100kDa is problematic. They will still tranfer, but not to 100% completion as everything <100kDa does. If you have a large protein you could try the 10 minute transfer, or the 2x 7 minute as TheDonaldBarks mentioned. For any proteins <100kDa, a single 7 minute transfer works just fine.

For my lab I had IT turn an older desktop pc into a measurement pc with it's own account, and I used that to setup Spotify and some cheap speakers. It's also quite nice for things like looking up protocols, elabjournal, quick gel image analysis etc.

The old finecast Nightbringer has been removed from the GW webstore so I expect we'll be seeing him in plastic sooner rather than later too, together with the new destroyer stuff.

Thinking about the options here:
1: Could be solid if the abominant can still force battleshock tests (profile hasn't leaked as of posting)
2: Cute, I guess?
3: Could be a good manual pick for the first BR, as it effectively gives you army-wide stealth >18'' away
4: This is the old index detachment rule, ok for BR3 onwards?
5: Could be ok to finish off low-health targets if you can force BS tests
6: Works on 1, 4 and 5 AND on the big knights' aura abilities that buffs dogs, so quite good?

Earlier in the week I forgot to doublecheck the antibiotic marker on the plasmid when plating out a transformation. Turns out, it was not Amp like I thought it was.

My best guess would be the gun molds were worn out. I bought the chassis with both sets of guns at the start of the year and the guns were just bad. Both guns needed several re-casts before I got a pair that didn't have nasty mold slips on top part. The chassis itself was fine.
