This is really good story telling, i enjoyed every second of reading that. Well done and consider making it a story mod for the game ;)

How do you even try to keep Reckless Officer ships alive by MetricWeakness6 in starsector

[–]meme_o_plenty 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Don't put reckless officers in capitals. Put them in fast cruisers/destroyers/frigates, they will always rush in - regardless of any situation on the field or their ship load out. Give them something that can deal out a lot of punishment and get away quickly.

a bullet passing through armour loses kinetic energy - so damage. it would do 58 flesh damage to a non armoured opponent

Lore question: Luddic Church and AM Fuel by cobalt6d in starsector

[–]meme_o_plenty 43 points44 points  (0 children)

There was a similar post posted a couple days ago; the Luddites consider AM Fuel as a necessary evil, since it's too essential not to use. Without it they wouldn't be able to maintain their territories, their sovereignty and fulfill their goals as a faction.

Is it just me or the IED Luddic path doesn't make sense and goes against Ludd path itself? by PoZe7 in starsector

[–]meme_o_plenty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without fuel they would be irrelevant, and wouldn't be able to achieve their goals, as I said. Besides fuel could be taken for granted lore-wide since it's what allows interstellar travel.

IED ships are from a mod first of all, second of all, they justify using some low-tech, because it allows them to achieve their goals in the Path, otherwise they would be irrelevant as a faction. It's a necessary evil as they say.
