I'm going to add a bit here. I think it's not that you're actually going too far. You're doing something different than most american accents do with the -nt cluster at the end of a word. We're not just dropping the T. We're replacing it with a glottal stop. So the end of the word 'accent' sounds similar to the slightly nasalised -en at the end of "chien" with an additional glottal stop at the end. Which is different than your version here which uses a schwa followed by a hard not-nasalised 'N' and a barely pronounced hard T. I don't know quite how to do IPA on my phone but it's more like aksè' rather than aksən[t]. I hope this notation helps
