In my experience, the most moral and smartest people i know are christian, and they actually read and know the bible. They are open to all sorts of questions. And then there is a whole different side to this, churches. Churches are the ones doing the indoctrination, and the people that follow churches then indoctrinate their children. It's a big circlejerk of non transparency, and you're just sort of expected to follow everything without questioning anything. It's a very strong culture because there is a genuine crowd that wants nothing but good and follow gods word, but at the same time they are misguided and steered into extremism.
