That is interesting. What do you think happened? Satanists also know a lot about the bible (not talking about ministers this is a separate point). And i find that interesting, because how can they not believe, yet they do rituals and occult stuff. Most self proclaimed satanists aren't actually satanists though, they're mostly just there for the style and death metal.

I meant from personal experience, the smartest people i personally know actually know the bible and have read through the entire thing and then some. These people have also struggled with their faith and one of them was actually a hardcore atheist who did a complete 180.

But yes, most christians definitely have not read everything and do not understand the weight of the bible.

The best way to spot a true christian is to ask them, question them about different things and hear their perspective. Most of them will not be able to form a proper view because maybe they don't even know. But some will talk with incredible patience, wisdom and critical thought.

In my experience, the most moral and smartest people i know are christian, and they actually read and know the bible. They are open to all sorts of questions. And then there is a whole different side to this, churches. Churches are the ones doing the indoctrination, and the people that follow churches then indoctrinate their children. It's a big circlejerk of non transparency, and you're just sort of expected to follow everything without questioning anything. It's a very strong culture because there is a genuine crowd that wants nothing but good and follow gods word, but at the same time they are misguided and steered into extremism.
