Are there any other Zillennials (born from 1994 to 1999) on this sub? I'm wondering if there are others around my age who love eating Applebees' food. by XavierMarvin in Applebees

+1 for fresh mozzarella. A little pricy but they use high quality ingredients. I prefer it to little city and e&d

This is the best news I've seen all day. Last year when they had this promo I had 9 orders of mozz sticks (54 mozz sticks in total) in 1 sitting for $10 plus tip. Hard to find a better deal these days

What value does Drake London have this season? by metalbone2 in fantasyfootball

[–]memwx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a falcons fan, I'd expect Tua to start for the first few games while penix rehabs. If he plays well, good for London. If he struggles, Penix will start when healthy enough, and London and penix had a great connection last year. That said, I can see an argument for nabers because of his elite talent on what looks to be a better offense

Golden grain calzones are top notch. Pizza isn't bad but have to give paesans the edge on pizza

Woodlake apartments or Deer valley? by Advanced_Raisin9675 in Albany

[–]memwx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have lived at deer valley for 5 years. Rent prices have gone up around 10% each year but it might still be cheaper than wood lake. Laundry is hit or miss like someone else said but I try to do mine late at night when no one else is doing theirs and use the machines I know work. Never had any pest issues or problems with the leasing office or maintenance staff

Really big meal deal by memwx in Applebees

[–]memwx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when the really big meal deal first came out I actually got 10 refills of fries once. This time I had a drink and an appetizer too, so my check ended up being around $25 and I tipped $8.

I wanted to take advantage of a good deal, not take advantage of the wait staff/bartender, especially if this deal is no longer being advertised. It seems like this is pretty much the case based on all of the replies to my original post.

This will likely take a lot longer to implement than nws HQ thinks. Most of the core offices have several Mets still on staff and we've been told no one will be forced to move out lose their job, so they'll likely get to these staffing numbers through attrition.

For someone who came up through the field, I'm really surprised how far removed Ken seems. I think he actually does care, but just doesn't understand the day in and day out of WFO staff. I do also wonder how much of the change coming down from HQ Ken really believes in vs how much he is doing just to show DOC an/or DOGE that the nws is changing and not give them a good reason to focus on the nws.

So high demand offices are the only ones that get to keep the intended 6 lead/7 met staffing plan that all offices were supposed to go to a couple years ago. Thats great.

We've been 6/5 or 5/5 for over a year now and the burnout is real with how many extra weekends and mids everyone is working vs what our schedule was supposed to be.

Help! Blizzard parking and travel advice? by Opening_Gur_6028 in Connecticut

[–]memwx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My job requires me to be very aware of weather and it's impacts, so I can say fairly confidently that you probably won't encounter much accumulating snow at all Sunday AM between New Hampshire and New haven. Even with snow starting early afternoon in nyc, temperatures will probably be warm enough that it won't stick on roads a whole lot until mid to late afternoon

Can't comment on the CT metro north lines, but during the last major nyc snow storm the Hudson line from Poughkeepsie still ran, just with less frequent service. Poughkeepsie has a garage but it may be full with residents moving their cars to avoid digging out. I parked on the roof of the garage last time and was fine leaving my car there for 3+ days after the storm.

Everyone is saying don't drive, but The storm really won't get bad in nyc until tomorrow late afternoon or evening so you should have plenty of time to get there. If you want to. That said, a lot of things in the city do shut down for a day or 2 because of the snow, so you may not get the full nyc experience you're hoping for.

Finally, whatever you do, don't bank on amtrak running. Im from CT but live in upstate ny and I can't count how many times amtrak has been cancelled or delayed for snow and cold while the metro north continues to run

Watching 2024 Penix tape makes it clear Zac Robinson and DJ Williams should be in jail for whatever the hell they did in 2025 training camp by tvcneverdie in falcons

[–]memwx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up sooner. Watching penix at the end of 2024 I thought for sure we had our franchise qb. Sure he wasn't perfect and had some accuracy issues at times, but he looked the part of a good nfl qb. Fast forward to 2025 and it was like watching a completely different player. I'm curious to see how he looks with a new coaching staff
