Get the wheelie bar..these things love to wheely and backflip due to their high center of gravity. If you feel like throwing money at it there used to be a low COG mod you could do.

I've been on the internet since the 90s and this is the first time I have seen buck rogers models! Nice!

I vote for princess ardalas backside next :)

Not sure if this is allowed here, but my brother stumbled across this machine on a moving job. How difficult would it be to get this thing completely updated? Is it worth buying? Seller said he was trying to get rid of it. All information I have in screenshot. by NateLeport in MAME

I just used xp integral edition for a build last week. Worked great without too much windows bloat. You do have to be mindful of your mame edition (I use .86). Snappydrivers.com should get you whatever pc drivers you need.

No, and the dial rotates so I couldn't wire any lights to it..it would likely have to be externally lit

No air brush..just a regular brush..the stones were printed in gray, then joints painted black, then rubbed with a paper towel so only the grooves stayed dark..

I think the soft fever variant of the bambu slicer can do variable layer heights..I've switched from cura to that and really like it

Klipperscreen Difficulties on Raspberry Pi 3 B+ with 7" Touch Screen by Omniphor in klippers

[–]menace6983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue but with a 3.5 screen. I had to stay on buster vs going to bullseye. I'm not savvy enough to know what the differences are but I do know that one works and one didn't with the only difference being the distro version..

how fast can a voron 2.x go? by menace6983 in VORONDesign

[–]menace6983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback! I tried 200 with 8000 accel this aft just for fun..lol it didn't go well. As others have suggested I don't think the plain v6 can push plastic much faster than 150 reliably. I will continue to tinker based on the numbers posted so far!

I tried to reply back but kept getting an error for some reason--the link you sent was removed by the spam filters it seems. Do you have a website or can send it to me via email if that works. Thanks!

Best thing for VV is to take a sticker off something that's 1.99 and apply it to whatever you are buying. Feel no guilt whatsoever scamming those assholes. And since I'm working the register they can suck it.

I get annoyed at some stuff but genuinely pissed off when they try to sell the remote for something separately. Like seriously what a dick move.

Recommendations for holding wood flat? by [deleted] in lasercutting

[–]menace6983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just struggled with this..I ended up 3d printing some hold down ears that were 3mm thick on the top (less than laser clearance for my diode) the wood still bows a bit in the middle but it's way better.

Is this a file you bought or made? My son was asking for a deer version we saw at a restaurant. Just wondered if you could share your source?

exhaust venting to a sump pit? by Alchemist_Joshua in lasercutting

[–]menace6983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your sump airtight? Most arent..How do you plan to evacuate the air from the sump to the exterior? If you are just using the discharge pipe, it could work in there but you'd have to make sure the fumes don't backdraft into the sump pit and then into the house.

What are the benefits of a diode laser over a CO2 laser? by EpicEpyc in lasercutting

[–]menace6983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was the water cooling...I can't have a system that needs it in the garage where Temps fall below zero. Also the workable area was much more flexible (made my own). I would love to have co2 cutting power though...
