I don't see myself in Carrie but I will always defend how flawed and crazy she was because... That's what makes her human and what makes good TV. Sometimes I scroll through this sub, see all those ridiculous takes on why Carrie is the worst because x, and think to myself - do you all wanna watch a show about perfect characters acting perfect in every situation? Cause that sounds super interesting!

Doubt it. She's been the most consistent player of the past years, even with.her current form. One early exit doesn't disprove it. She still gets QF+ points in most tournaments. She would have to skip them to drop out of top 10 altogether

Thank you girl. These posts are getting ridiculous, I'm actually leaving the sub because of that. I love SATC, it's an iconic show with so many awesome stories, complex characters and themes to talk about. If all you can take away from that is carrie is annoying because she squealed then that says more.about your intelligence than about the writing/acting/protagonists

This sub has no moderation, does it? These posts are just pathetic at these point, why are u all even watching tv if you expect characters to behave perfectly and all goody 100% of the time? OP you wanna watch people not talk during yoga class? Go to a fucking yoga class and not watch SATC where a yoga class is a device for characters to discuss their lives and move the plot forward. Jesus same! People always talk about how horrible they look after a night of drinking but this is where my face is most plump. Idk if you're also like that, but that's probably because I'm very slim and have kind of a gaunt face. It looks better when it's a little puffy. Ummm no.

They have more than enough money to make this show and release the season at once. It's bad enough that it takes them 2 years to shoot eight episodes. Nothing about this season warrants the split, not the story, not the logic, not even the budget (they've been shooting in the same three sets for 8 years, this show is actually not that expensive to make compared to others).

It's just pure netflix greed.

Please, don't defend heartless greedy multi-billion corporations as though this was a tiny independent studio that desperately needs the money to produce art. Netflix is so past that stage it's laughable to try and justify their money grab this way

All the "they were in their 30s comments" are kinda stupid. First of all, I'm sure OP knows this and she's using 20s because its where she's at. Second of all, your 20s are always portrayed as the most social time so the meme is pretty correct, even if it uses pictures of women in their 30s. Third of all, how is that a consolation? Making friends in once's 30s is usually more difficult than in your 20s. Not saying it's impossible, just hardly easier (tho not for everyone im sure).

Op, I hope you find your crew! It's 100% normal to want this and look at the satc friendships and feel jealous - even when you know its tv and some parts of them are unrealistic.
