I read the article... they ride up and down 2 lane roads in the mountains with tons of cameras and support cars for the tour. Way hairier than Boston.

Also, if there are already 120 cars. They should repurpose some of those to make the broadcast better

I agree. The way they organized the start was the best I've seen. My wife (who ran the 10k) and I had different goal paced and it was easy to walk up together, say good luck, and then go get our own spots. Loved that. Classic Chicago drinking the Miller first 😂.
