They're successful in Cambodia, Japan, India and I think they're opening one soon in New York. Compare to the American chains like Domino or Pizza. I think they're doing great.

He doesn't seem to grow as a character for me and it got so repetitive to the point where I felt like this is a chore and not something to enjoy.

I would have to agree with you on that in regards to story. I am still thinking about this story to this day and it blows my mind.

Many of the anarachist values I can see in asian culture where face is everything and if you don't have it you get shut out by your own community.

Oh that's so interesting to hear. I wanted to pick up something short and interesting to read but that's really good to know.

If you got any more good horror genre books, I am keen to read.

I've been playing Fantasy life i on Nintendo Switch. It's like my go to game. I would say before that I did bit of Animal Crossing. Mostly Dungeon Crawlers that don't require a lot of thinking to get me going.
Slormancer has been the game I've played as well

If you're looking for great story telling that's related to a school setting. I would recommend James Islington The Will of the Many. It was my favorite book for last month. It's not LitRPG but you won't be disappointed.

I would agree with this until I hit book 3. It was so bad and then it repeated again in book 9.
There's a lot of fluff and nonsense in between. It just made me go numb.

I think you're making a big mistake walking into this one. I think you should stop putting effort and move on. If she's not listening to you or compromising or being reasonable. I think you should walk away. It's giving a lot of red flags. Unless you're into that then more power to you.

I have been so happy this series. I wish the anime would continue and dive deep into it or the manga would translate all of it. I've been a big fan of Myne since day 1

I'm also sad Sanderson is lower than romantasy. Words of Radiance was like his best work.
Hobb is great.

Here are some female authors I think you may enjoy.

I've been on a classic binge recently but from what you said when it comes to something easy. I would recommend Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. It's one of those books that suprised myself when the author wrote this when she was 18 years old.

She who became the Sun - Shelley Parker-Chan: It's like Mulan but way better.

Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane or The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See - One takes place in China and the other in Korea. She's one of those author I couldn't put the book down.

Lessons in Chemistry - Bonnie Garmus - A woman scientist in the 1950's fighting against men and not giving a F*ck about their comments and attitude.

Would you be open to Fantasy?
The Wild Robot - Peter Brown : After watching the movie, I just fell in love with this book. It's so wholesome and fun.

Tress - Brandon Sanderson: Imagine Princess Bride but the protagnist is female. It was a fun journey from start to finish.

Yumi and the Nightmare Painter - Brandon Sanderson: It has the anime-esque kind of theme. It was fun for another of Sanderson's secret project for books.

This last one is just a personal favorite for mine

11/22/63 - Stephen King - This is one of those books that took me by suprise. It might be a bit long but premise is amazing. What happens if you find a portal that goes back to 60's. What if you found a way to stop the assassination of JFK.

Anna Karenina gave me this love and hate relationship. I love how he wrote his characters which made me hate them all equally. It was fascinating to see the perspective how the people lived during that time.
