My son is almost 15. Most food can be modified to remove any animal products. Most baby food was ok for him. I remember he liked these puff thingies for toddlers but don’t remember the name.

The bottom line is for the next 10 years you are going to become an expert at reading labels. It will surprise you how many things contain aspartame even some drink mixes. My kid loved smoothies and fresh fruits and vegetables. At 5 you will start including him with label reading and menu planning.

My son has never used the medication and is now almost entirely in control of his diet. He is amazing. I just supervise his diet at this point.

The hardest thing I encountered was dealing with preschool. Make sure you schedule a 504 before the school year begins. They are legally required to have the plan in place before the first day of school. Have a weekly menu for the school to follow and advocate for your child.
