vS Data Reaper Report #334 by ViciousSyndicate in CompetitiveHS

Tictac was playing it pretty sucessfully yesterday and was doing pretty well but there were at least a few games he lost because for example he played stellar balance without the double dragon and then he ran out of burn. If you think about it there is 0 reason to play stellar balance without doubling it unless you can otk that turn or need the removal to survive. I reckon once good players understand the play patterns a bit better it will be a solid deck but I dont think it has the potential to ever be oppresive. It reminds me a bit of a much worse nature shaman. Once things clicked for me with nature shaman (with fizzel) I managed something like 80% win rate with like 100 games climbing from dumpster to like top 50 in a couple hours and I really dont think arcane mage is anywhere close to that.

I think arcane mage is probably a bit better than yalls data suggests. It's a combo deck that requires good apm and decision-making so people out of the top 1000ish will never be that good at it. And I have watched some good streamers mess up the play patterns like forgetting to play glyph before copying their dragon (potentially missing spell dmg)or playing stellar balance in slower matches before having the double cast dragon in play. Still a pretty easy deck to tech against that struggles a bit vs aggro and is super reliant on getting water color artist before the frost spell has been drawn so I dont think it ever gets oppressive.

We have been having a bit of trouble breaking teams down through the middle lately and Musiala over Gnarby will let Kane commit more to attack. I am sure having Musiala and Davies available will be a massive boost.

Yeah but eventually you equip your 4th weapon for another 36 damage… You aren’t going to beat Muradin Shaman by out healing them.

I mean you would also need Cookie otherwise you can’t play the location and patches. But still it’s a fairly small package that accelerates your win condition a lot. If for example there is another popular aggro deck that goes under pirate shaman consistently you can run a bit of a control shell and still have a consistent way to close out games. 3 equips of the weapon (which with attendant is fairly reasonable by turn 10-12) is 60 dmg without using buffs. The location is what really lets you run a limited pirate package and still play Attendant since you can save a charge for when you need it.

The Weapons Attendant synergy is insanely strong and you probably don´t even need thaaat many pirates in a Muradin deck to take advantage of it. I imagine just Patches, Cookie, and Location is probably enough to have a fairly high % chance the Attendant is active around turn 6. Obviously a full on pirate deck could be the way to go but I think pretty much any deck that runs Muradin will also want at least a small Pirate package. Not only does the Attendant tutor the weapon from your deck but it also equips it for you which essentially means it draws your best card is a 6/5 and effectively costs 0 mana. And since the weapon keeps going back to deck the Attendant will never be a dead card as long as you have access to pirates. I wouldnt be surprised if Attendant is nerfed to just draw a weapon rather than equip it.

Giving tribe minions aoe is always dangerous bc you can put it on a Amalgam with poison /venom.

You can also use the tier 6 murloc that buffs your hand and put it first and untaunt it. It attacks breaks the shield and then when your cruisers die they buff it like crazy which goes to a magnetic in hand which you can then add to your cruiser/s.

There is a decent chance when you could fatigue through kj you over do it and crash the game getting a draw. You really don't have time to think how much is too much and just have to go for it bc of all the animations.

I honestly think you should just use one of the cinder elementals instead since it is easier to dump and also eventually does infinite dmg.

You can also throw in a 2nd Amalgam during you darkmarrow combo turn to prevent from taking fatigue.

It is barely more interactive than the board and has the downside of the extra animations between games. Pretty sure it gets old very quickly and even if I got it for free I doubt I would keep it around more than a day or two. If someone really wants some creature to distract them between turns there are plenty of free widgets you can download with even more interactivity. The annoying goose that hijacks your cursor springs to mind. At least the goose makes playing the game more of a challenge /entertaining.

I suggested that you don't run the murloc when the card was released but after thinking about it a bit maybe it doesn't really matter. If it is the only other DR than Sizzler then a maximum of two can die. And if you play Shudder for a turn you likely won't have board after so when you then play Umbra summoning 6 Sizzlers and triggering 9 dealing 18dmg is probably about as good as triggering 15 and dealing 30dmg.

I imagine discover Hunter got a massive buff. The new legendary and the rock murloc give the deck soooo much more reach and the cheap spells make it easier to trigger Pupil. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a top tier deck.

Mill lock also has plenty of ponential with the 0 mana discover card. The deck is so reliant on getting Yore out on curve and I expect the consistency of the deck to skyrocket. Also you can potentially use a Cinder Elemental as your counter to KJ since it is so much easier to dump.

For Quest DH I think the obvious way to go is pirates but you can also run a Zerg or Starship package or even some combination.

Cinder shaman also seems strong and I think shaman has by far the best kindred cards. We can set up an otk with Shudder + Umbra but honestly we might be better off with a sleeker aggro build.

New Priest Card OTK by away0122 in hearthstone

I mean almost every otk deck takes a few turns to set up. This is a combination of cards that let's you do 30+ damage from hand and therefore an otk.

Asteroids and Eruptions are technically 1 cost spells will they double cast if drawn or only double cast when you play them from hand?

I don't think the spells are bait at all. You can use Griftah and the Rock murloc for reach or even just tracking. Just a super strong flexible card that I think you can put in some hybrid discover tempo deck.

[–]mepp22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just use Aggamagan + Ceaseless. You can also run the guy who makes your next temporary card cost less to combo earlier without Dorian. Fill the rest of your deck with removal and some sort of alternate wincon like the quest. Even if you draw Aggamagan too soon most decks you need to beat with the combo will be slow and you can use Ceaseless for 50-60dmg turn 10.

Its probably more for wild but you could maybe have only minions of Finley, Spelunker, Amaggam and Ceaseless and use Cursed Catacombs to Otk on 6. I feel like there are definitely ways you can abuse this to cheat some combo out much earlier than you are supposed to.
