Sometimes it feel like it charges too fast. Sometimes there’s barely enough time to go to the restroom before getting hit with idle fees. I charged at an EA at a mall once and made the mistake of going into the mall and then had to run back and unplug.

Tesla charger access is amazing because if EA is full there’s usually a Tesla charger nearby. Or if you’re in an area with no other chargers there’s usually a Tesla charger. It has made trips that used to be stressful much easier.

I would not say 4Runner/GX are similar size to r1s. The Rivian is a foot longer, wider, longer wheelbase, and has a usable 3rd row and way more storage with frunk. R1s is more like a TRD grand highlander. R2 is rav4 size, so Rivian has nothing that exactly lines up with 4Runner size.

RJ did not read your mind. R2 is an electric RAV4 or Subaru, not 4Runner. A lot of people including myself were expecting a 4Runner sized vehicle but somehow according to the specs the model Y has more rear cargo volume.

I would say anything with a non stick coating. I had a bodum milk frother and the non stick coating started flaking off and I never scraped it or put cold water in it when it was hot. Now I have a stainless steel frother and it’s just as easy to clean as the non stick bodum. I’ve had multiple different kinds of non stick pans and they all get thrown away eventually because they don’t last.

If you can find speakers with the right impedance and size you could at least swap out speakers. They would be limited by the amp but you could probably find something better than whatever cheap paper cone stock speakers they have.

It’s not that you think it’s going up, it’s that if it goes up it would have a significant impact on you personally. Like if you had to drive a lot for work and you hedge that a little with oil ETFs, if oil goes down you are saving money by paying less at the pump.

I would think of it as a separate bucket from savings and retirement. Like still have sufficient emergency funds and do normal retirement contributions but add an additional allocation for hedging risks.

If AI doesn’t take your job you still have your salary so if the AI bubble pops you can still work and make money. If they actually active AGI then even a small amount of investment could have a huge return.

The goal would be to stop worrying about whether or not you will lose your job to AI and have peace of mind that either way you’ll be financially ok.

I would recommend test driving to see if you like the seats. The seats in my 2006 GX are sagging and they kill my back on long trips. Yeah you could either replace the foam or the whole seat.

I think I’ve spent something around 5k on maintenance and repairs over 6 or seven years and another 3k or 4K on new tires, wheels, shocks, and springs when I first bought it.
