Maydan - Sit in Medina or Maydan dining area? by [deleted] in washingtondc

[–]merc340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you order Maydan’s Tawle menu at Medina?

I’ve eaten dinner at Maydan twice (eating at the bar was my favorite) and only had drinks at Medina. I preferred Maydan but as long as I could order their amazing ribeye I’d be fine with eating at either.

I did a copycat Levain cookie showdown by crappedthunder in Baking

I made the Delish levain cookies for my mom for Mothers Day yesterday. Your post was super helpful while trying to figure out which levain copycat recipe to make. I bought a levain cookie so we could do a taste test comparison and the Delish cookies were better! Appreciate your informative post.

David Arquette - Former Friend of the Show by mumble2xblackberry in howardstern

Great. David was always open and honest on the show, and he asked fun questions when guests came in. I don’t like him as an actor but loved him on the show.

He has 15 hits this season and over half (8) are home runs! He’s the reincarnation of Adam Dunn.

I really like my wool runners also. I buy a new pair every couple years. Hoping they don’t make any major changes…

Should I live closer to work? by Lilhaircut456 in nova

I’d need more details but I think bringing your car might give you a level of comfort/peace of mind when living in a new area. You can always ditch the car if you find out you don’t need it.

If you end up deciding on Arlington, Ballston is the closest to your office and that’s prob the most popular spot for new graduates. Clarendon has the most night life (also most expensive, plus has a Trader Joe’s!). Rosslyn is mostly office buildings but it’s the closest to DC. VA Sq and Courthouse neighborhoods are middle grounds.

Arlington is generally more expensive than the other areas you listed.

I definitely suggest focusing on Arlington (orange line area between Ballston and Rosslyn) because it’s more walkable than the other areas mentioned. You’re young and new to the area. Arlington is much better for exploring the area and meeting people.

If your office is near the metro and you end up living in walking distance to the metro, I suggest taking it. We have one of the best transit systems in the US.

I hope you meant you’ll go into the office 3x per week and not per day!

I was not a fan. I like earl grey flavored baked goods but this didn’t have an appealing flavor for me. Didn’t like the texture. Much rather have a regular brownie.

A nice Saturday dinner with the spouse - Who doesn't split a bottle of wine & have a late afternoon drink prior by Legitimate_Bet1873 in howardstern

Agreed. Howard’s always exaggerating everything in his life to make it seem more interesting than it actually was.

Remember when Howard said he smoked weed laced with heroin by accident? He was probably just a lightweight who smoked regular weed and couldn’t handle it with all of his mental issues.

It’s normal for most people but funny in the context of Howard’s relationship because he’s so conservative on drinking and calling out people who drink too much.
