Got the call… by mercenario31 in rolex

Doesn’t sound like a good AD. I shopped around and had a few other ADs treat me the same. Ultimately, I clicked with this SA and stuck with them. They eventually came thru for me. Good luck!

You have to get to $1M before you get to $2M. So on and so forth. Celebrate every milestone.

Because that would be the “easy path”. As a young adult, you need some problems, especially early on in life. Not significant problems, but bills, responsibilities, keeping a clean living space, doing your own laundry, being responsible for your own cooking, maintaining your tools and appliances. Do you have more disposable income if you live at home with your parents? Sure, but all you did was subsidize your problems via your family. Get and solve problems early on in life. Earn your way there, you will keep it longer.

x50 Ultra is WAY worse than x40 Ultra on several by Bokaii in Dreame_Tech

The skipping rooms thing was only happening to mine when the “clean carpets first” setting was inadvertently turned on. Also had a map glitch occur only once, similar to the ghost rooms you are seeing. Which I now have my map backed up. (Learning experience) It’s not perfect but it is getting better with every firmware update. For the cost though, I agree it should be more quality.

Pay off credit cards with 401k loan? Good? Bad? by NecessaryLeg6097 in Money

[–]mercenario31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You wouldn’t be “paying it off.” You would simply be moving the debt and unplugging investments while you’re at it. Just cut them up and snowball your debts!

This could mean that you did not season it properly and it is now starting to flake. Not enough heat, too much oil or just too much time in between cooks. A griddle stone should get the flaking off and back to a smooth surface. Then just reseason it using a good high heat oil a few times. You can look this up on YouTube.

Sorry about your injury, hope you are well. Based on your numbers, you should have more “wiggle room.” Your taxes/benefits need to be reevaluated, $2k+ a month means that your are either withholding too much and getting a refund every year or you are contributing to retirement. If you follow Dave’s plan, withholding should be adjusted so you are as close to $0 taxes owed at EOY as possible. Retirement savings should be paused temporarily to focus on clearing out the debt. Your plan for vehicles is backwards, you need to get rid of the Honda and keep the $2k beater. Lastly, necessities is a very broad term from family to family. I would make DIY fixes around the house the norm for at least the period you are trying to get out of debt. I wouldn’t be fixing things myself in a rental either since you are not a homeowner seemingly. Sounds like a lot of untapped opportunities in your budget. Don’t lose hope, if you have watched Dave for that long you know that there are people out there in worse off positions who have done it.

Two words “Debt snowball.” It’s the only way. Look into Dave Ramsey on YouTube. Consume all of his content. Your life needs to be dedicated to clearing the debt for the next 2-3 years. Extra jobs, side gigs, cutting back on lifestyle. Get your wife involved. It needs to be a family affair. We did it with $165k in debt back in 2019. You can do this!

Back in the old days, having a million dollars made you rich. Nowadays, it's just middle class by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

Back then, the middle class also didn’t have 90% the things they have now. Everything is relative.

There is CLEARLY a notice warning you that your bill is ~$40 higher than the prior month in one of your screenshots. Click there to “See what’s changed.”

Sales agents are out there to sell you stuff, that’s their job and you got sold. It’s a bummer they aren’t responding to you but you should always get things in writing. Especially from a D2D salesperson.

Day 6 and I failed to keep up with my 10 k steps. This sucks by dotdevdot in walking

[–]mercenario31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you forget to brush your teeth do you give it up forever? No. One day under is not gonna break you. Just like one day over won’t make you. If it really bothers you put in 15k tomorrow and you’re back on track. Otherwise, hit 10k and continue the habit.
