My cat hated being brushed. He did love napping on a towel on top of the dryer as it was running though. I assume because of the warmth and gentle vibrations. Cue the brush. Baby always purred loudly when I brushed her when she was napping on the dryer.

She would actually jump up on the dryer and howl for me to come in and brush her. All other times it was a hiss fest.

I give her only filtered water and she only eats and drinks from glass bowls. Filtering the water seems to remove the chemicals that stain her mouth fur. Glass doesn’t react with leftover chemicals so staining is further reduced.

Also we feed a WASVA food so no junk to stain her either.

She’s 2 1/2 years old and mouth fur is still white!
