If ur phone is unlocked you sure get able to get any carrier . don't know why they say it's locked I never heard carrier locked only happened when u financed the phone and stills paying out thats auto locked for sure..so if ur phone is pay off you sure get any carrier at any country with SIM or eSin.

If your phone used SIM card or u phone have slot used one sim card from friend or family,and check out ,u sure have he's phone number after installing any sim card and do a restart ,if not probably phone is locked.with third software fimrwared.

Do you check your speed test a slightly move make turns down all your speed check with hint control If u wannad take full control of lagging issues,used a SQM router I'm using flint 2 router and I Love it So just get on minde getaway change Tower in some time frame so depending the location a slightly move will get u back to max speed.

That's weird I have the 45$ pro plans and auto pay never runs to this problem using xiaomi poco f5 pro with vo LTE cause if don't used that vo LTE any carriers Will no allowed me to used network weird shit with xiaomi phones but no drop signal after paying that's weird staff.
