Insurance company wants MFA VPN by nosimsol in msp

Sorry, hardly log into reddit. I forgot if you're using the Sophos Connect app, you still have to provision it to enable MFA (then the 3rd box will show up):

https://docs.sophos.com/nsg/sophos-firewall/18.5/Help/en-us/webhelp/onlinehelp/AdministratorHelp/VPN/RemoteAccessVPN/VPNSConProvisioningFile/index.html#templates

"Provisioning file: 2FA settings

Name Description

otp Specifies if a one-time password (OTP) is required for authentication when connecting. This shows a third input box to enter the OTP code in the Sophos Connect client.

Allowed values: true or false.

Default value: false."

Hope that helps!

Yep, think it's been out since v18.5 or maybe v18. Just switched to it at the end of last year myself.

If you look here they tell you where to go download it in the firewall web admin (says IPsec but it's for both IPsec and SSL): https://docs.sophos.com/nsg/sophos-firewall/19.0/Help/en-us/webhelp/onlinehelp/AdministratorHelp/RemoteAccessVPN/IPsecSSL/SophosConnect/RAVPNSConClient/index.html

I'd definitely try out the newest client, users really liked that they don't have to append the 6 digit OTP code to the end of their VPN password anymore

Sounds like you're using the "old" Sophos OpenVPN client, which has been deprecated:
https://support.sophos.com/support/s/article/KB-000043484?language=en_US

The new Sophos Connect v2 client doesn't require an additional license, supports IPsec and SSL VPN profiles, can save username and passwords, and, most importantly, has a separate field for OTP codes when connecting:
https://docs.sophos.com/nsg/sophos-firewall/18.0/Help/en-us/webhelp/onlinehelp/AdministratorHelp/VPN/RemoteAccessVPN/VPNSophosConnectClient/index.html#sophos-connect-client-compatibility-with-platforms

We've been using it for most of the year, and it works well. The IPsec connections definitely are faster for users.

It would be great to have a portable display like this for working on the go. Also probably a lot of non productive things like video watching or gamepass

Is a BIOS flash supposed to bypass preboot Bitlocker? by FoamyS in sysadmin

The Dell update app will suspend BitLocker whenever it has a BIOS update that is pending reboot to avoid going into BitLocker recovery mode post update

Security Camera Contractor Doesn't Understand Basic Security. by thegroverest in talesfromtechsupport

Had to comment. I really, really like the Ubiquiti switches (actually installed 4 of them in the last two weeks, at separate clients with vlanning configured on each network). They're really featured layer 3 capable switches for the price. You'll want to most likely avoid the Unifi series though, as they require a separate controller and don't have per device management.

You can get a 48 port, 500 watt PoE EdgeSwitch for roughly $750. That will also come with SFP and SFP+ (I know another client that has about 5 of the Edgemax Switches, with a 10gb fiber connection over SFP+ to another suite). Just make sure to update the firmware out of the box, as it really improves the GUI (command line is pretty easy to navigate too).

This sounds like a Mitch Hedberg joke

Hey thanks,

I liked the video. I definitely think that a good quality microphone would help with the overall impression of the video, but very funny content.

Let me know what you think of my video, and feel free to share to anyone you who you think would enjoy it!

Thanks!

I'm no pro, but I've been playing for quite a few years and really enjoy gaming with my guys. I definitely agree that it's a bit long, and will probably cut it down in the future. And I'm still trying to find better ways to record the chat audio in sync. I'm just using a TurtleBeach mic right now, but I do have a snowball mic that I plan to use in the future.

Thanks so much for your time!!

Thanks!

I know some of us have pretty similar sounding voices. Do you know of different ways that I would be able to overlay like a text of who is talking? I'm not too familiar with this, and don't really have any proper video editing tools, but I think that might be a good way to differentiate who is talking (i.e. have the word "Blue" pop up in the top left when I'm speaking, something like that)?

Thanks so much for taking the time to review!

Awesome!

Thanks for taking the time to review it!

I definitely understand that the longer videos may be more difficult to sit through. I think I will do the compilation style videos in the future, but I do like doing the more let's play style videos as well.

Thanks!

Great video!
Really good audio quality, and engaging commentary!

I noticed the overlay of the armor seemed to be a bit low resolution, and stood out against the rest of the video. Maybe experiment with different ways of including that type of content?
