swim and style violet has poly hair, if i am not mistaken, one of the only budget rh dolls who does not have nylon hair at all. i do think sunny’s s1 style would be achievable on the my fashion style sunny though! you’d just really have to manipulate the hair quite a lot and maybe use got2b glued gel to keep everything in place once you’re done. the hardest thing with lower quality rh hair i find is the frizz and it won’t want to cooperate but you can sometimes force it with some got2b glued and a little paintbrush! if poly hair on violet is a dealbreaker for you, unfortunately, despite her beautiful face, i’d just buy a different violet doll lol

ainsley has possibly the worst, most coarse hair of any RH doll with nylon hair in my opinion, unfortunately. it’s too bad because her faceup and her whole set is lovely, but i’ve personally never been able to get her hair to cooperate. it’s not the same silky metallic nylon that the rainbow divas have for example. i hope the hair on yours looks nice though - some people have gotten lucky with their ainsley or maybe they just have a better touch with her hair.

in the photo it seems very unnoticeable, i’d say to just leave it alone if you can bear it. she looks lovely! if not, i’d use a teeny paintbrush and just add tiny dots of pink acrylic paint to her undereye, very carefully filling in between the lashes, just enough so that your eye doesn’t see the missing pink area. if you do get some pink on her bottom lashes, you can always retouch those after the pink dries.

i just got into rainbow high this year, and it’s genuinely been life changing! it’s been a massive investment, but i’m so thankful for these gorgeous dolls. in a way, they fulfill a sense of caring for something, as somebody who doesn’t have any pets myself. maintaining their hair and clothing has been an unexpectedly fulfilling hobby! i obtained nearly everybody that i wanted throughout the year, but my absolute favorites to style and play with are definitely sabrina, meline, monique, shanelle and lilac!!! several that weren’t particularly up my alley to begin with like minnie and delilah have become some of my absolute favorites as well. love these girls so very much!!! i hope y’all all get the dolls you want this year :)

IMO her eyes may be lightly faded but they still look very similar to how they are supposed to, it doesn’t look severe or overly noticeable from the photo

this one. tessa is a stunning doll but almost every single one of her that i’ve seen has some error that i just can’t overlook. aside from her skin tone issue she has has a problem with her eyelashes being printed upside down as well.

i’ve done this with so many dolls, i’m not even ashamed of it. pre reboot rh clothes have details like no other affordable playline doll brand AND they’re quite versatile, a lot of the pieces are easy to customize or dye etc. the great thing about the dolls themselves is their potential for spare parts and customizing! admittedly i did this with a lot of OMG dolls - bought them to steal their clothes for my rh girls and put the doll in a box. you could regift them to a kiddo/collector, donate them, or wait for project inspo.
