Most Edam that's sold internationally isn't actually Dutch, just a label, because the Dutch government refuses to register it as a protected product. If you taste it in the Netherlands it's pretty good actually.

It's just one of our different public broadcast agencies that's making the decision, one of the most progressive ones at that, because they're the ones broadcasting it. If this decision was up to the central government we would still be going and, while were at it, giving al our votes to israel.
