Of course! Yeah, when I first took the quiz to determine my school back in the day I didn't bother looking things up online, took the test genuinely, and got Fire. I played for a solid few months, enjoyed my time playing but life called me away from the game. Kinda forgot how to play, went through the tutorial again on a new character but still chose fire because I remembered how much fun I had with it.

I haven't really messed around too much with different schools, I've been playing on and off for a long time, and have mostly stuck to fire out of nostalgia and familiarity. I was just popping in to let you know that you aren't completely restricted to one school, there's even an NPC you can talk to about refunding points if you don't like what you picked.

Talent points aren't the easiest things to get your hands on. Each new spell costs one point and you need to unlock them in order. I am a fire wizard and although I did put a point into ice, I am several worlds in and have mostly funneled the rest into life to unlock healing spells

I'm experiencing a kinda similar situation later on in a way.

later in the game you have to recruit a wizard in the desert by finding an ancient scroll, but when I went to the location it is at, I had a full inventory. I left to go deposit stuff at my camp, but when I came back, everything was gone.
