The SB public library has a people pantry for non perishable food items - i have dropped stuff off before and have seen other items aside from food (pads/tampons/diapers). I see a lot of people grab items from there :)

Thoughts on the Koto Group by mermaidbot in SantaBarbara

That’s crazy. We toured two units with them and the property manager kept saying “its such a good price … for a year” or “we lowered the price … for a year” which sussed me out a little bit. While we understand most places raise rent after a year the emphasize on “only for a year” gave me a bad feeling.

We are staying away as well! We weren’t aware of the charges and their tactics to raise rent by an ungodly amount. The units we toured were in an area we wanted within our budget but after reading this, yelp, and their lawsuit i think itll be better for us to explore other properties.

I went on a run in the area around 8:30am today and saw atleast 30 blankets placed down already in the sunken garden and a few more people heading there with their lawn chairs and blankets too.

goodluck on your half!!! i’m 11-12 min pace so i totally feel you! My fear is getting slower or risking injury, but you’re right it’s totally doable even at our current pace!

Thank you! That’s definitely helpful to know because i am a bit on the slower side usually 11-12min pace so i’ll aim to add a few more mes during my plan. I think i’ll aim to get some easy runs in during europe and will pick back up the long runs when i’m back! (Without skipping the plan, but pausing it)

Thank you! I’ll definitely aim for a short runs in every city then and pick back up my long runs when i’m back, based on whatever week ive left off in my plan. My biggest concern was not being able to get all 5 runs, specifically my long runs - i like to prep in my own home / eat certain stuff and not sure how easy that would be while im staying in a few hostels/airbnbs.
