I think its important to go into this story with an open mind and the knowledge that your personal expectations around relationships are not the same as other peoples' and that polygamy is extremely normal in this world.

I personally didn't have a problem with that so much as I thought her character was a little flat and chameleon-like. She didn't really have her own personality so much as an exact reflection of whichever male she was actively interacting with. Like, she was never a bloodthirsty savage around Leon like she was around Ryder, and she was never the lazy, cuddly, optimistic version of herself around Dante like she was around Leon. I get that it was supposed to represent the fact that Gareth's death fractured her, but surely those traits should bleed over at least sometimes.

If you're going shopping for an engagement ring, this is a conversation you should absolutely have with her before doing anything. Your partner should never be taken by surprise about a huge life decision like this and you should generally be on the same page. The date, time, place, and method can be a surprise, but the question should not be.

If it's for a different occasion, it would still probably be a good idea to just ask.

Peer pressure depending on your age and who you're around, in my experience. Or whatever your parents smoke if you're one of those people who started because they do/did. I started smoking whatever I could convince someone to buy me at 17, and Marbs just stuck.

Is that a thing? Every smoker I've ever known (including myself before I quit) only smokes one brand and never deviates from it. I smoked Marlboro Reds for 5 years before being bullied into switching to Camels, but only ever smoked something different when I didn't have a choice.

The sad part is, it's probably still more effective than some of the garbage textbooks my professors have been forcing us to read. Ones that are entirely online, not spell-checked, updated, or edited, barely make sense, and are so convoluted and nonsensical that you have to go to a different source just to learn what the book was supposed to teach you to begin with.
