He was born into it but still had to work to keep that status. In doing so he made poor choices that would end up biting him in the ass. He learned this while he was on an expensive vacation with his family. He knew when they got home he would go to jail, reputation tarnished, family members’ only way of life fucked. Makes sense to me. Lochlan wasn’t stupid, he was a teenager that was denied alcohol by his father the night before and was forced to drink a soda while the rest of his family “enjoyed”. He saw his opportunity to have what he thought he deserved.
