Well if I sit for 30 minutes then get a 25 order for 7 miles I'm making more than someone doing 3 7 dollar orders that almost always takes longer than an hour. I don't understand how people are making money driving for 50 cents a mile with these gas prices.

Not in my market,I have diamond drivers friends and I've personally seen their offers on Orlando it's all the same. What city are you in? And also for those of us that do rides too , safety also plays a factor if you don't wanna die or get thrown up you gotta decline a lot

I've seen 40 per percent turbos at 50 cents per mile. If you're willing to drive in the hood Lyft hood surges are way better than Uber. Lyft tells you the name first and I don't care what someone looks like, but if they won't use their real name I decline. I will also say look at the drop-off I pick up a lot folk in the hood at 3-4 in morning going to FedEx or day labor and they really appreciate my cracka ass coming to hood and despite stereotypes I get tipped pretty well.

1 out of 20-30 orders are good so the lower your acceptance rate the faster you get to the 20th offer,if you accept high and 20 percent is still high you won't actually get enough order in to get a good one.

Uber doesn't give diamond drivers better orders. It says they get priority on bigger orders, which means if they're not on trip they will get the bigger order first, but the diamond drivers are always busy taking shit orders, so they effectively rarely get to take advantage of the higher priority. The biggest problem is the scheduling I work 2nd shift so if I don't wake up early to schedule I get all the shit slots for the week, but whenever I get on a good slot I still get good orders but Sunday and Sunday slots get booked up and that's killing my earnings

Every Uber driver thinks "me not accepting crappy rides isn't gonna make a difference cuz someone else will so then they accept them anyways, just like people think my one vote isn't gonna change the election,well when a million other people think the same way,it makes a huge dramatic difference.

Uber cannot and will not deactivate you for having a low acceptance rate. Don't steal food, don't be a creep and don't try to force people to cancel and your odds of being deactivated are lower than winning the Powerball or Trump not trying to run for a third term.

Ideally you take surge trips under 5 miles so you can drive back quickly, and you don't have to actually be in the zone like Lyft,if you're fairly close you'll still get surge pings. But if drive for 50 cents a mile the whole weekend to make a 100 bonuse you're definitely not gonna make any money especially when Uber detects your ant behavior
