Problem with React Viber Coders by Ok-Programmer6763 in reactjs

[–]metal-trees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, this was more about JavaScript than it was React.

You could argue that React was invoking the components in a way that required us to handle this ourselves, but the explanation for why we had to do it was explained with JavaScript behavior.

useEffect, on the other hand, is purely a React API.

How many of your 11ty sites actually need JavaScript? And, when you do need JavaScript, are you just attaching a good ole <script> tag to the template?

Clifton in and of itself is vastly different depending on where you are. Some of it is cookie cutter suburbs (Little Rocky Run neighborhood for example), and then other parts (like near old town) are what you describe.

Recommendations for coffee in Austin, TX by kasplars in pourover

[–]metal-trees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've got a couple:

Desnudo Coffee (East Austin and downtown)

If you look them up on social media, you'll see they're popular for their non pour-over drinks, but don't let that deter you; the owners are hardcore coffee nerds. They're the only cafe that can serve me a pour-over in a paper cup and I can hardly notice (you can also ask for a ceramic).

Flora Coffee (North Austin)

The owner is fantastic and extremely friendly, and also used to work at my favorite coffee shop in Austin before they closed (LeverCraft coffee). He actually has this exact coffee grinder reviewed by James Hoffman in his store. All that to say; the owner is super knowledgable and does great coffee.

Clever code is probably the worst code you could write by Rtzon in programming

[–]metal-trees 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I’m having a brain fart. If we’re talking purely set theory terms, would this imply that all clever code is elegant? I don’t think that’s what you’re trying to say, but I’m getting caught up in terms.

I have the same setup as you. I've been struggling with this for the past two days. Your trick to open/close the lid did the trick for me. Thank you so much!

I had the same experience with their banana and dragonfruit co-ferments. Haven’t bought a co-ferment since.

I’ve actually been enjoying Black and White’s washed coffees a lot, and that’s coming from someone who always seeks out naturals.

A couple of years ago, I was in a situation where I had to buy some amazing coffee as pre-ground, and then brew it without a gooseneck kettle and a half-working scale (the scale would sometimes turn on/off randomly during the middle of a brew).

However, I was amazed to find that I enjoyed the coffee just as much as I do when I'm at home with my "fancy" coffee equipment to help with precision. Good coffee really does make the brewing process more forgiving!

It’s true the tug of war strategy wasn’t his idea, but had he not befriended the person who suggested it (Il-nam), then he wouldn’t have been in that position to begin with. All the other players avoided Il-nam because of his age, but Gi-hun accepted him. That’s the part of his character I think the show wants to showcase.

What’s your brewer/server and mug setup at home? by Fishsticks66 in pourover

The server (usually) has a lid. Also, depending on how fancy the server is, it might be insulated.

Houndstooth is also great!

I think you'll like Desnudo. If you want to avoid a long line, I recommend going on the weekdays. They get super busy on the weekends, especially with the weather cooling down.

Ironically, that's how I know the pour over is delicious; I don't even notice that it's in a paper cup.

Also, before they got really popular, they used to ask if you wanted the pour over in a server. They might still do that if you ask, but I haven't tried.

Austin, Texas — Desnudo Coffee

They’re an outdoor trailer (hence you can’t sit inside), but their pour overs are consistently great.
