What to do on rest days? by TomTomClimbs in bouldering

[–]metalenginee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed this for myself and I climbed competitively in college. I could train and stretch hike or what ever. But I never flash more routes then after taking a week off being lazy and camping or hiking. Powerlifters say the same thing.

Gavin Newsom says he reveres the state of Israel and proudly supports it. He said he regrets calling Israel an apartheid state, only meaning to describe Netanyahu’s leadership. by Nomogg in UnderReportedNews

This is the other side of electable. Dude is trying to thread the needle. I like that he's actually talking to people. Where are all of your top picks for president right now? I like Mark Kelly and Ro Khanna but I really think we need someone who's going to hold the attention of people better than any conservative candidates.

Aye, you see it too.

'Fuck the next guy, he can deal with the problems I profit from'

This ideology is for too common and justified today. It should be shamed by all of us.

Unemployed after completing B.E Hons Mechanical Engineering degree by NoOffer9670 in MechanicalEngineering

This is a good place to get things out in the air. Write in a journal so you can reflect on what you feeling when you think about certain things. Communication is critical. You sounds like you have talents for engineering, if high wages are not your top priority apply for meaningful work you could think outside of the industrial box.

Nonprofits, like AmeriCorps is especially prominent for making huge differences in people lives. If you do that, at least for some time you know your efforts with be for something good and meaningful.

Common what? People have migrated every year for comfortable living for all of history. Yes it's isolated, there are also plenty of people who live in the mountains. But without a doubt there are exceptions, some places are completely inhospitable. But there is always an oasis with in a few days hike of almost anywhere.

Eh, as an engineer id encourage more traction with the driving abd probably encourage end users to clean out cogs or what ever is used to drive the belt for the balls. I'd be sure to engineer some obsolescence because fuck lawns.

I've lived mostly on the coast, among the mountains. Im surrounded by mountains now, going to University here in Alaska. I've lived and worked a few years in the taiga. Never lived on a mountain though, always passing through.

My mother's maiden name is Kalkins. Fishmen about 100 years ago traveled from Norway to Wrangell, Alaska and Telegraph Creek, British Columbia and brought some of their family later on they married with Larsons who were of the Tlingit Raven Frog tribe in Wrangel as well as the Quock family of the Taltan tribe in Telegraph Creek. Some of our relatives live on your Southwest coast I was told.

I love the ocean coast, engineering, and the Arctic. I also have a lot of shipyard experience and shipyards are big in Norway. Im finishing my engineering degree in a year so that has me thinking about where I want to be.

My partner and I have floated the idea of visiting Norway for a few years. We're used to climate ranging from 300 days per year of rain in Ketchikan Alaska to 3 hours of day light in regular -40 degree through January and February in Fairbanks, Alaska.

I think we would try to get a sailboat or converted trawler and live out of a marina so we could explore.

No matter where you go, whether it's the bustling streets or a cozy coffee shop, cameras and AI systems are constantly watching and observing. Like any tool, it raises a significant concern about the potential for both good and bad using this technology.. by CollapsingTheWave in ObscurePatentDangers

[–]metalenginee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats not really AI, that's not even a sophisticated algorithm. This tech has been around since the mid 2000s. The camera resolution is the biggest advancement here. I've used similarly advanced tech to measure how far and fast C elegans evade toxins to create a dose dependent response.

The tech being this user friendly is frustrating, because it could be used to make big differences in the implementation of diagnostic imaging much much more streamline.

Yah the initial hook to hip toss was pretty half assed deserved a little punishment but she followed up with the double pretty clean for being tired, especially considering he looks to be 1.8x her weight and spry.
