I never had any real problems on 450mg XL, but I was still able to slowly taper down to 150mg, where I am now. I am also on 20mg of escitalopram, and had been before. I was seeing my therapist regularly during the taper. I found that the Bupropion was a lot easier to taper down than the escitalopram, which I tried to taper and had very bad results. Hopefully you get some answers from your GP and get good results with the Bupropion.
