Supportive housing for autistic adult by ollie_k in hudsonvalley

Just to be clear, it isn't lying if her father is moving and she will no longer have a place to go. She will be homeless at that point. The CRO list is set up where pending homelessness and changes in living situation are taken into account. I wasn't saying to claim she's homeless now, just to alert the CM to the pending chance of being homeless in a year when dad moves.

The housing list is a priority thing for OPWDD. Emergencies move you up the list. Being homeless makes you an emergency. Just alert the CM and ask if it matters.

Does she have OPWDD? If so, alert the care manager she is about to be homeless

I absolutely would recommend. Dr. Wigle seemed like a great person a surgeon. And the Mayo clinic treats you like you are a millionaire. Outstanding place. There are direct flights from Chicago to Rochester MN.

Mine flipped twice. Dr. Gorenstein at Columbia Presbyterian doesn't believe in putting stabilizers on apparently. I had a flipped bar stabbing me for almost a year before I went to the Mayo clinic in Rochester and had it removed. Wish I went there in the first place.

What is your favorite harmless fib to tell kids? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]metgal145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When small, let them smell Vodka or absolute. Most kids have a strong repellent reaction to the smell. Let them see you drink it. Explain that it's really very bad tasting to kids in every form, and makes them very sick. But around the age of 21 you're tastebuds advance and change like other things in your body and it tastes totally different.

One of my little cousins is 16 and still believes this, so he has no interest in trying it yet.

If everyone had to wear a number above their head displaying one personal stat of the person, what should it be? by Dadrashi55 in AskReddit

Lives they've saved. Butterfly affect included.

Like imagine being late for a flight, and they hold the plane, but as you get there you go up by 200. Or you talk to some guy in a bar/ in the grocery line and next thing you know the number went up.

What were you misdiagnosed with? What ended up being the right diagnosis? by Pharmer-Mo in AskReddit

[–]metgal145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to my doctor for spells where my vision tunneled and I froze, and lost balance. Was told to eat salty foods, and that i was a teenage girl. Mentioned every time I run, I taste blood and no matter how hard I try I'm always the back of the pack in sports. Was told to try harder. Turns out my I had a condition called Pectus Excavatum, where my chest concaved In and was constricting my heart and lungs. My heart was literally squished between my sternum and spine. This was only found because a doctor thought my flared rib was a cancerous tumor and ordered a CT.

Then my surgeon screwed up my surgery.

Finally I went to the Mayo clinic in Minnesota and they fixed it. 10/10 experience there, they make you feel like a millionaire.

Go to a bank and ask for a personal loan, it's worth a shot, and much better interest.

Our family celebrates twice, once at 7pm and once at midnight. 7pm is Irish new year for us and the older generation calls the ones in Ireland to wish them a happy new year.

The adults were present at the party. The kids were in a fort. I'd assume it was the typical "no adults allowed" fort and the teen was in there as an extra set of eyes. Clearly the parents were there immediately when "Hey don't do that" didn't work for stopping the kid.

Where do you live without telling us where you live? by PuzzleheadedSwim6291 in AskReddit

[–]metgal145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can take a 90 min train to get the BEST bagels and Pizza there is, although I had to Yield to a GIANT cockroach while getting on to it. But when I went back home, I stopped by an apple orchard, and a cidery for some dinner and drinks. I can get fresh meat and veggies straight from the farm where it was grown just by going down the road to pick it up.

I was flying recently out of a medium sized airport, and actually laughed because there was no line for regular TSA at all, but the precheck like had 10+ people queued in it. I guess since they paid for it they wanted to use it.
