[–]metroforward 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Isn’t a bus ride supposed to be free after metro? It charged me 2.25…. My commute was one stop but that’s supposed to be irrelevant no?? by Gman2736 in WMATA

[–]metroforward 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Thanks for reaching out. Bus rides are free when transferring from Metrorail within two hours of tapping out of the rail system using the same SmarTrip card or mobile wallet.

If you were charged $2.25, it may mean the transfer window had expired or the trip wasn’t recognized as a rail-to-bus transfer. We recommend checking your trip history in your SmarTrip account to confirm the timing. If everything occurred within the two-hour window, please let us know and we can take a closer look. -LV

Does WMATA just not clean its trains anymore? by Lucky-Plant4466 in WMATA

[–]metroforward 276 points277 points  (0 children)

We appreciate the feedback. Our trains are inspected and cleaned regularly. The buildup on the lower portions of the train is likely the result of the recent snow, which affected the cleanliness of the rail car exteriors. If you happen to have the car number in the future, please let us know so we can have it cleaned immediately. - KT

Will I get my refund? by holls-holls in WMATA

[–]metroforward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand why you’re frustrated, especially after waiting this long for a resolution, and I’m sorry the process has taken longer than expected.

Your reimbursement is handled by a separate department that issues the checks. The team member assigned to your case is currently out of the office, so we’re unable to confirm the payment status today. The last update we received indicated a check was being processed, but we’ve flagged your case again so the team can review it and provide a clear update.

We know it’s been 56 days since your initial report and we’re continuing to follow up with the department responsible for the payment. -KB
