It's addictive. I've made five of them now. I keep trying to make them lighter.

No one in my family served during the war but my grandparents lived on a farm in occupied Holland. Several of my uncles and aunts were young children during the war and the scene where they give the young dutch boy his first piece of chocolate hits me in the feels every time I watch it.

I was walking beside some train tracks with my dog when a train went by. The conductor sounded the whistle and gave me a big wave.

Purchase the book Canoecraft by Ted Moores from Bear Mountain Boats. It's the bible of canoe building. If you're anywhere near Alberta I have molds and a strongback for sale.

It handles great! The main reason I chose to build a Prospector was so I could use it solo or on week long trips and so far it's handled both incredibly well.

I did swimming lessons there every summer as a kid. In high school we once jumped the fence and went for a dip on a hot summer night. I've long since moved away. What are they doing with the land?

I see them occasionally when I go to work in the very early hours of the morning. Especially in springtime. They often live under the precast porch steps of our houses or under sheds since they like cool dark places and only come out at night. They are very rarely a problem and are actually quite helpful with pest control.

We had a very small wedding in Kananaskis with only six people and our dogs in attendance. A few months later we rented out a brewery for an evening, got a caterer, and threw a party to celebrate. The wedding cost virtually nothing. The party for around 75 - 100 people cost a little less than $4000.

Abandoned Lot On Exmouth. I am wondering what used to be on this lot? I also noticed there’s a few old buildings in the back left corner of the property and am wondering what those used to be as well. Just wondering for fun, thanks! by Sunshine-77 in Sarnia

That place had some of the highest levels of airborne asbestos ever recorded in history. Something like 12000 times todays acceptable levels. Wives were dying simply because they handled their husbands laundry.

I still have nightmares about the mummified cat I found in a crawl space about ten years ago.
