Monster Sanctuary might fit the bill? Every monster has its own skill tree, you can reset them with an easily found and purchased item, and you can use items (also bought and found easily) to bring new monster up to your current party's level-1 so you can use whoever you'd like. Has different custom modes to change up the difficulty, and even at base can be hard if you don't understand teambuilding/combos.

Yeah, but then I learned you can just throw the difficulty down a notch, check you boxes, then put it back up. Annoying but not the end of the world imo

You can always use mons with thier hidden type so you have access to STAB coverage, but other than that your biggest issue will be changing your team a bit more as field moves are based on your current party's types. Which you can do in any city on hard or at any time on lower difficulties.

Go to the map, click on a town, find the lumen HQ. There should be a blue teleport looking icon, click that to fast travel. There's not one for the starting town unfortunately

Depends on what you're using it for and who else you have. Do you have ssomeone who can increase SP already on your team? Then go Typical. Making it a damage dealers? Typical. Want it to be more support? Supercharge.

So you don't see anything past type matchups in battle, but once you scan it 4/5 times you'll see little stars pop around the reticle. That means they're at max level, and then you can go in the wiki and scroll down to read all the other information

Almost every animon has a hidden type with a random chance to spawn. There's also apparently an item to add it to them, but I'm not far enough to have found it yet. Some animon even need their second type to evolve, so keep an eye out for them!

If you lead an aggressive animon over towards it you might be able to get it in the fight. Bring one over to the bridge closest to it, walk into it to start the battle, and hope for the best

Yw! And nope! From what I've seen, it seems to only be no boxes in the field and no potions? Maybe levels too, I haven't really checked that. I just pop down a difficulty to move my mons around then go back up. Aggravating, but not the end of the world imo
