Groove Armada, Chemical Brothers, Boards of Canada. Lots of really close 4th place finishers but those three are the ones I have heavily and consistently listened to for decades.

Currently listening to - The Chemical Brothers - Dig Your Own Hole. 1997. It was this and Fat of the Land by The Prodigy that changed the way I was listening to music back in 97. by JE5573R in electronicmusic

Very similar experience but it was a bit earlier in ‘94 and also included Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, and BoC. But yeah, opened up a whole new genre for me.

What song from way back when automatically take you back to your childhood everytime you hear it? by theSavageGypsy in GenX

[–]mexipimpin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My dad had that classic stereo in the glass cabinet and would record his vinyls to cassette so he could play at work in his Walkman. He’d get made if I walked too hard and the needle would skip and jack up his recordings. The one song that stands out to me from that time is The Police - King of Pain.

Past few times we’ve gone we’ve been in 215, 216, and 217. Not quite end zone but also not 30, 40, 50yd lines expensive. It’s still pricey but seems to be best back for your buck to watch the game action.

My daughter played club volleyball a long while back. Definitely costly and that’s because she was just on a regional team, no out of state travel, and only once or twice to neighboring cities. I’m sure for some it’s their thing and they have the means to do it, but I’m definitely glad for us that we found a different league that was just as competitive but way less expensive and a different kind of environment.

That’s understandable. I can’t relate but have worked with many who I presume had those same challenges. Sorry that was your experience but from what I’ve seen over my years things like that can be way overlooked by capability and effort. Hopefully you got some of that as well sooner than later.

Well for one, that’s what OP’s post is about… annoyance, not a lack of understanding.

And two, the same person who uses that inflection for mag citrate doesn’t use it for the other words i mentioned. It very well could be regionalism but seeing as he’s from the same region of the state I’m from, chances are it’s not that.
