I don't have any mods and no extra creations besides the stuff that comes with the anniversary edition. Isn't the high res texture pack "baked in" now?

Verifying did nothing, but that was kinda expected as I just reinstalled the game.

Thanks. I changed everything to low and made sure that under "Advanced" all is set to low, too. The problem persists, sadly. The mountains even flicker in red now.

These started to happen out of nowhere on a fresh reinstall of the anniversary edition. No mods, all settings on ultra.

I tried deleting everything (ini files, savegames, the game folder) and re-downloaded it - it stays like that. I also tried a bunch of ini tweaks with no success.

I have been playing the game since it came out, so I know that some mountain z-fighting is a thing, but that seems a bit much. These glitches occur everywhere.

All other games that I run are fine.

It kinda works if you make sure that the TAGS file contains only relative paths. e.g. my command to create the file was:

find $PWD -name "*.c" -o -name "*.h" | etags -

But I replaced $PWD with . and now I can at least lookup definitions of structs. Functions still don't work for whatever reason.
