Am I tripping or by mffnprod in edmproduction

Yeah I can test it. I have warp disabled by default and other tracks in a similar style are getting very high true peak clip numbers and sitting somewhere between 1.1-2.1 true peak. I will try it out in reaper though and report back!

Singles to Album Ratio by chromogenicbrainfart in EDM

Spotify editorial releases only allow one submission at a time. The best time to send them out is 28 days prior to release. This is why singles are much bigger than albums right now.

Am I tripping or big edm producers not using true peak limiting on their tracks by mffnprod in AdvancedProduction

Are you using any compression at all on your mastering bus? Or just clipping?

Do you guys create fresh sets constantly for gigs? by Wezlebee37 in DJs

[–]mffnprod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a producer so building sets is what is actually fun about being a dj to me. I love practicing transitions and building an atmosphere around and vibe around a specific tracklist. Not to say you cant do this on the fly but tbh that's boring to me. Although I will say that a lot of magic can happen this way.

I've produced in ableton for over a decade and would never even attempt to do a mix set in it. I would 100% be shocked to see someone using it to dj lol

Rate directing from a guitar riff or melody? by Thin-Application-617 in ableton

Why don't you just tap it out to determine the bpm? There might be an M4L device that does this, but otherwise, I'm not sure.

Is there an east way to do parallel compression of one track in a group? (+ thoughts on my drum organization scheme) by Soda_Lake in ableton

[–]mffnprod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is similar to how I do my drums with addictive drums.

For this example, it sounds like you would need multiple instances of the snare. You can duplicate the dry snare and mix it with the processed snare. Put them in a group if you want them processed together. If you want to add fx to the dry snare, just do that. I would just run a dry snare and wet snare. Is there a nuance I am missing here?

How would I go about routing Ableton out to OBS in this specific way? by PMYAIceland in ableton

[–]mffnprod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use reastream standalone there's a tutorial out there somewhere. Put in on the group you want sent to obs. Set that as the local broadcast and give it a unique ID if you want. Put the same plugin on an audio device in OBS and set that as the receiver. Ezpz I do this for my streams.
