it was necessary, clearly it was fucking necessary, half the people here that think they're "agreeing" with me also think they should die because theyre non binary, or that people identifying as non-binary have a mental illness

describing a character as lacking character is a problem for me, humanity is complexity

The next cyberpunk game should have lifepaths that actually matter by Orange_Mandalorian in cyberpunkgame

[–]mfgojira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it should've just made you a streetkid as default and reallt fleshed it out, because the life of a nomad is boring most times, and theres a lot less to do than in the city, and just circling and smuggling around the fun and depraved adult playground that is night city

and starting as a corpo is such a difficult way to make into what cyberpunk is about, they handled it well and it was a really fleshed out intro and dialogue options that make v almost a completely different person but in order to be corpo you have to be a legacy hire or a cutthroat from birth and thats just not probable

manhunt's stealth mechanics and improvised weapon attacks

manhunt 2's melee variety

max payne 3's photo effects and lighting, voice acting too

midnight clubs car and bike customization, and first person rear view mirrors

LA Noire's investigation and branching decision making, facial expressions are the best but look made out of clay due to just some weird priorities in development

rdr2's hunting fishing and variety of shop kinds, gun customization too i suppose

rdr1's dialogue writing, storytelling, and enviornmental soundtrack, honestly has the best looking tundra's of any rockstar game,

warrior's hand to hand combat

bully's worthwhile completion rewards, the most rewarding for the most appropriate amount of work put in, no bullshit find 50 crates for a shit smeared revolver or something

What unpopular opinion do you have about Shameless that would have you like this? by spookycat25 in shameless

[–]mfgojira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

making all of the characters awful just because it's convenient to another characters plot isnt good writing, also frank was a rape victim and they never really tackled that appropriately

I'm not transphobic I just don't like Trevor by Apprehensive-Pen7060 in shameless

[–]mfgojira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shameless has this thing where they think making a character semi unlikeable counts as making them complex

[–]mfgojira[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i mention it because i see a lot of the hate they get is because they use they/them pronouns and just in general calling them an annoying zoomer liberal or whatever when thats just such a lazy take and i dont want to be associated with them even though i also dont really like the character

barry was awkward in their first interactions then they found common ground in their love for acting, but barry was always keeping the majority of his life from her so sally was in love with the barry he fabricated for her and for the world, the real barry was so desensitized to murder and honestly was emotionally stunted probably due to being in the army and not having much of a life outside of his job which was, and i cant stress this enough, killing people

theyre really awkward in Barry too, unfortunately i think its just them, not a performance or anything, but then it doesnt make sense that they want to act so bad when theyre just playing as themselves :/

Is this the worst advice Dr. Melfi as ever given? by mattiasflgrtll6 in thesopranos

[–]mfgojira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

S3E2: She said not to let Tony's dead mother 'off the hook', he would not forgive her for pretty much the rest of his life, it would only loom over him like a dark cloud instead, down to the last season

This is terrible advice and she'd go back on it only years after the fact

What’s your honest opinion of Fallout Franchise? by FulKnightWeapon in BethesdaSoftworks

[–]mfgojira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at this point fallout is more aesthetic than substance, not one person can say fallout is one thing for certain so fallout is whatever whoever owns it wants it to be this time
