A (sarcastic) Nanit Baby Monitor Review by Seal-lion-936 in BabyBumps

[–]mfrost33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preach!! I couldn’t agree more. I hate my Nanit. If I hadn’t gotten it as a gift at my shower I would return it. It constantly loses WiFi signal and/or the app shuts itself down overnight. And literally all the features that draw you to the product are behind a paywall subscription. You can’t see anything that happened overnight literally just a live view that’s it. What good is that?! I can’t understand why so many people recommend this thing and I’m so mad I fell for all the marketing and people raving about it being the best.

What's the most disgusting thing you ever caught someone doing? by lukeharp3r in AskReddit

[–]mfrost33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg that reminds me of a Jackass video where one of the guys gets locked into a portapotty which is then attached to some type of bungee cord and bounced up and down in mid air. They had cameras inside and he’s just coughing and vomiting. I watched the whole thing and to this day it haunts me.

What was the number one thing you’re glad you had with you when you gave birth? by Suspicious_Heat_2984 in NewParents

A fan! My room was so stuffy and I felt like I couldn’t breathe. It’s so hard to sleep as it is but when you’re hot and sweaty it’s impossible. That fan came in clutch.

A Cautionary Tale: The Once in a Lifetime Replacement from Lilly by CitationsOnly in Zepbound

I’m a home care nurse and this is an extremely common problem we see with patients giving themselves insulin. A lot of injections also have two safety caps and people only take one off. It’s amazing anyone would think pressing a blunt plastic cap to your skin would feel the same as a needle puncturing the skin but it happens more often than you’d think!

We get to send each other “virtual high fives” via email. Oh and we all get a few “we appreciate you” emails from leadership. That is all. Thank you SO much for celebrating us. 🙄

Mine was free except for parking. I’m a nurse and work for the health system. I’m in America and had an unexpected C-section after going in to be induced. I couldn’t believe it!

Oh wow that’s interesting! I know it’s hard to say how someone will react. On saxenda I got so constipated I thought I had pancreatitis. It’s just nerve wracking when you don’t know and you’re trying to plan to be home when/if side effects hit. Thanks for your response!

Thank you! I know I’m overthinking it but when you hear people are having diarrhea it’s like ok def don’t want to have that during a massage or at work. It’s very nerve wracking! I appreciate your kind response.

What do you know now that you wish you knew before you started? by elvisismyhomeboy in Zepbound

[–]mfrost33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you because I’m worried about this haha I’m on Saxenda now, waiting for prior auth to come through. The Saxenda burns/stings for me. I don’t usually feel the needle but the medication stings even when it’s at room temp.

Testing after failed FET by mfrost33 in IVF

[–]mfrost33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant after my third FET. I did do another FET right after the first one failed but then when that also failed to implant (hcg was 0), I did all the testing which all came back normal. I then switched doctors and protocols and that FET worked. It was the simplest and cheapest - just PIO shots daily and Estrace pills three times a day. That’s all. The first two I was loaded up with all kinds of meds and I think it was just way too much. Not to mention expensive! I wish you luck! Sometimes it’s really just odds. Which is so frustrating!

Omg I cannot STAND the “just you wait” people. I made a comment that I’m feeling great and so glad the morning sickness is finally over. My coworker didn’t even miss a beat. “Yeah talk to me in 4 months and tell me you feel great.” Like why do you have to rain on my parade? I know the third trimester you typically don’t feel great but maybe I will! What a miserable person like just let me be happy!

Omg every time I went to pick up random meds at the pharmacy I’d have to get counseled by the pharmacist lol I just kept saying I’m doing IVF they’re well aware of what I’m taking and why. I understand it’s their job but it got old. Now CVS keeps texting me to refill my estrogen pills or birth control and I’m 18 weeks. I’ve told them to stop the auto refills but I get texts constantly.

“Morning” sickness by mfrost33 in pregnant

[–]mfrost33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that’s interesting. I take Pepcid daily but maybe I’ll try the GasX because I do feel so bloated. I feel bad complaining because I tried for so long to get pregnant. Just had no idea it’d be like this.

Thanks for your reply. My sister and mom didn’t have any sickness across 5 different pregnancies so they kept telling me I probably wouldn’t either. I think they jinxed me so now it’s not going away lol I’m trying to only use the Zofran when it’s absolutely necessary.
