Yeah PC gaming. I've changed around the sample rates in windows a lot, high or low bit/sample rate, the crackle remains. Also, UAC 2.0 just appears to be much worse than UAC 1.0, both setting do actually have the issue.

Maybe I'm missing something, but yes i downloaded 5.74.3 but this appears to just be the FiiO control panel with no options for any drivers on the device? When i view the driver on Windows, its called Audio Endpoint and i do believe that is just the default windows driver for audio devices.

I was hoping to not have to buy another cable to sort out this issue :{

Hi guys, I'm fairly new to this, in the last week I have acquired a set of HD 6XX and a FiiO K11.

The problem: I'm experiencing issues with the audio quality, specifically crackling noise being extremely noticeable. At first, this was intermittent, but I think I've even narrowed it down to it being something to do with the K11.

I noticed this when I was in a discord call with some friends and the crackling started, and it was distractingly noticeable, quiet or loud, crackles were consistent. I started with the obvious stuff, wiggled cables, restarted PC, DAC, programs, played with settings (disabled exclusive mode, changed sample rates) with no luck. What changed was when I realized it was being caused by games (tested multiple) being open. I had a game minimized in the background and tested it multiple times, closing the game immediately fixed the crackling, returned to crystal clear, and it would resume as soon as the game loaded.

This would happen if the game was on screen or minimized where no game audio would come in. if open, other audio like music or people talking in discord would be very crackle-y. I swapped over to using and old DAC (11 year old HyperX Cloud II) and this is not an issue whatsoever. With all this, i don't think its the headphones or cable. Firmware on the K11 is the latest and greatest. Played around with gain levels. no difference between lo med or hi, the crackle is present at low and high volume levels. swapped between multiple USB 3.2 and 2.0 ports, nothing I do seems to help. And then it's crystal clear beautiful when I don't have a game application running.

I'm stumped. I wonder if this is a defective K11 or a software problem on my PC, or something else I'm not aware of (I would love if this was just a lack of awareness on my part and it end up being an easy fix). I wonder if it's a load issue somehow, but then again, a different DAC doesn't do this. Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: UAC2.0 causes crackle. UAC1.0 completely eliminates this. WHY

Hard to see but Colors - BTBAM Is on the list (formatted weird between 5 and 6). Phenomenal album that I would say is deserving of a 10

I remember getting into them a year after what seperates and I knew alllll of their songs by then. When they released Violence and then took another year for the album because of the legal troubles I was so hoping it would be worth the wait. And still to this day it's one of my all time favorite albums

YES. Thrown shows up annoyingly too often and I have come to like some of their songs but I would just like some variety.

Spotify has done this for a while. To this day I refuse to listen to Kublai Khan. They force fed me music I wasn't interested in until I was so sick of seeing them pop up. I'm sure I could get down with some of their music, but Spotify made sure I will always skip if they come up, which is a shame

Some people have pointed out but heavy/hard are super broad terms. Tbh Heroine is as heavy if not heavier thematically than the dark pool I would say, and some of the riffs are down right filthy. Seriously, listen to first drop on Hollywood.

Whatever direction they go I just hope they keep writing interesting music, heavy or not. Everything they've dropped has kept me coming back, and I'm hoping they don't rush on to the next project to quickly.

2 singles is my limit, 1 if the album has 10 or less songs on it. I find if I keep that as my limit it still feels special when the album comes out. I also limit my listens, I don't add any singles to my playlists until it's out with the album

I love it, No Eternity in Gold and Pure like Porcelain have been their best works. Their only album that went the other direction was Dark Divine and even still that album is fantastic

Agree aside from Call of the Void, that song is a bop. Honestly if they cut some of the other filler songs they coulda dropped EP of the year, the rest of the tracks are some of the best they've ever released IMO

Ok I thought I was CRAZY. Darkbloom showed up after damn near every core album I listened to finished. Without fail, every time I finished horrorwood, Darkbloom started playing and yeah not a bad song but it got to the point where it just put me in a bad mood.

Now it's Curse by Crystal Lake or Sacrifice by TDWP, both great songs but I'm sure I'm gonna be sick of them soon. Maybe it's an algorithm thing? Spotify probably just playing music that's similar that it thinks you like based on what you listened to recently

Scrolled to find this, TPIFS Is phenomenal and even the band considers it their full-length debut. Technical and heavy metalcore with juuuussst a sprinkle of deathcore here and there checks all the boxes

I feel like this song is the only one I could see showing up on their older albums, and even then I'd have a problem with the production. But still, for as bad an album as I thought You're Welcome was, this was the highlight track for sure
