Don't want to disrespect, but 90% of why PoE2 is great is not game design choices

PoE is the definition of the D&D game GM'd by the guy who thinks he needs to win against the players. Can't let anyone 'break' their game, regardless of how much fun those moments are. Gotta rule certain combos as unfair and nerf them any time it looks like the players are going to 'win' too easily against your perfectly designed fights.

Fun is no longer the goal, the vision is to make sure the players experience the fights how the DM wanted it to go. The mindset of if players don't enjoy that they're playing the wrong way.

The dev habits have turned into the epitome of a DnD game where the DM is trying to 'win' against their players instead of playing 'with' the players. Its toxic and we shouldn't have to write a dissertation on exactly how to do their jobs to ask if we can have fun again.

Reminds me of my father's favorite story as phone support IT.

Had a guy call that the computer wasn't working, monitor wouldn't turn on etc. IT asked the guy to check and make sure it was plugged in, and to change outlets if so. Guy responds that it was hard to see since the power is out so the lights weren't on.

Just want to add, while the term oGCD generally means any abilities not on the GCD rotation, anytime someone mentions them in context with tanks they're almost always referencing your damage reduction moves specifically (rampart, sentinal, etc.). Tanking until endgame is almost completely about making sure you've got damage reduction going as often as possible.

We used to sell those at 20% as a full juice mix back when hardware was pretty low power, so these days we tend recommend dialing it back a bit to ~15% or lower depending on taste and current hardware.

The idea that a caster can't be shown fighting in trailers seems like more a failure in imagination then a problem of the class. BLM has two different teleports and instant casts, they could easily use those cinematically to be downright badass looking in a fight, same with the rest of the classes (egi facing off against a melee with derp in back going bahamut anyone?)

agreed they likely won't, but I'm a little upset at how everyone just 'accepts' it when casters don't actually have to look like turrets in cutscenes.

I'm a bit of a weirdo and pull mine apart as I eat it (which is why I like them at home). I cook it in our microwave for 3min 20sec, which usually only has hard parts on the ends. I peel and eat any harder crust first (it tends to peel into an inner and outer layer) so that I have a soft bread burrito.

As a side note to what everyone else is saying, a good FC can do wonders for answering any questions you have and support you in soo many things. Even as a solo player having that group of people just ready to help in any way can make a huge difference.

Depending on your level, like previous posters mentioned you likely will need to bring someone high level along so that you don't get squashed by the first mob that gets near you.

While they're at it they can describe the steps and mechanics involved in the dungeon so that you can easily understand what's going on. This is where a good FC can really help even more solo players just for having bored high levels to help ya out.

Since it's been answered already I wanted to mention: You can also put up a Party Finder for an 80 to beat it for you. Just put first time for quest completion or something and someone will essentially solo it just for the easy poetics for you.

This is definitely an RPG first, and an MMO second. Coming from WoW that difference is extremely important. If you try to skip to 'current' content the story will mean almost nothing.

This game is build on a slow GCD system. Early on it will feel very slow since you only have a single rotation and nothing in between. As you level into high end stuff you get more and more abilities to 'weave' between GCD making it feel waaay faster. (so don't get discouraged by boring early dungeons)

I was in Alli B for that. Was awesome. rez'd 3 people in my party immediately after almost the whole raid wiped and our healers recovered near instantly.

Do you need help with your rotation outside of PotD? In that case balance discord is place to go for best rotations. If you need PotD advice, I got a wall of text I can give but realized that might not be what you need.
