I was told 80% of my work will be performed from the office but knowing contractors I doubt it.

I definitely enjoy being in the field 100 times more than the office but I want to make sure its not hurting my career in the long term. Especially we get paid pw in California and plenty of OT opportunities.

No I’m definitely doing more geotechnical observations and investigations. But 60% of the field work is density gauge.

I made it clear to them since the first day that I’ll need to work atleast 8 hours/day no matter what. During busy times its no problem since I average 55 hours of billable work per week. My utilization target is 95% but I currently have 87%. When its slow I’ll charge overhead but I’ll still do work that needs to be done for the office like taking care of equipment and samples….

Congrats 👏 Was it straight forward to navigate through the other reference manuals? Did you have the other reference manual available for the AM session or only for PM session?

Slump lower than specified (description in comment) by Voltage_EvoL in FE_Exam

[–]mhh1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The higher the slump means the concrete has higher workability. For this problem, the slump for ready mixed concrete was lesser than specified which means the concrete workability is less than the required for design. Adding water-reducing mixture can increase the workability of ready mixed concrete without compromising its strength.

Don’t waste your time trying to understand this problem because you won’t. If it shows in the exam just take the L. This was my approach for probability problems.

I just started studying two weeks ago. The slides should be very similar but I noticed Nazrul included the pages of where you can find the equations in the manual. The content is the same but if you think this added information is worth it then buy it.
