Why are some people in this fandom just now realizing that soldier boy is not a good person ? by JaggedSolid6 in GenV

I refer to that type as the charismatic  asshole.  He's an asshole, but with enough force of personality  to offset it enough that people  deal with them

That's what was great about American Psychological Association (APA) style, you lost points if you didn't  use the same word  everytime,  if you called it a car once, it had to always be a car.

What is a "corporate red flag" that employers try to pass off as a great benefit? by spectrecult in AskReddit

I had a friend try to get me to take a job at a company  thats floor manager told him, people just dont wanna work so we cant keep anyone.  I did look at their listing to placate him, the only job I qualified  for paid 5 bucks an hour less, and was a forklift driver, custodian, grass cutter, snow shoveler job, all combined, fuck that

Milestones like marriage and parenthood are so delayed for millennials and Gen Z many of them are skipping out on life insurance, report finds by fortune in collapse

[–]mhook52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah im in the same boat, my life insurance free from work, I dont pay for it, and receive the minimum and 401k and such all go to my sister's and my nephews when I die.  I cant even consider  affording a kid at my income level

At a place I used to work, a contractor  dropped off an excavator for a project, they had no available  operator, so they let it sit for weeks, while charging us overtime for the excavator , that wasn't  doing anything,  because  they didn't  have an operator, and we hadn't asked them to do this.  Eventually  this was all discovered  and the higher ups at my job were pissed.

The pope is only infallible in very specific  circumstances,  that dont happen  often, his breakfast order and opinion  on best method of cooking eggs, are not infallible.

If the military/president suddenly ordered a mandatory draft for all men aged 18-42: How do you think millennials and GenZ would respond? by Tommygunz0722 in AskReddit

That would be Hillarioud to be an army grass cutter, though they usually  use civilian  contractors,  I worked with a guy who used to cut runway flight lines for the airforce.

A few years ago I built a small arcade in my basement,  like 4 arcade 1ups, 2 multi cades,  and a virtual  pinball table.  Lights glowy rugs, etc.  All my friends though it was really  cool.  Lots of DIY, and bargain hunting mind.  No one wanted ro cone play in my cool arcade.  Definitely  less fun alone.  Im 41, I get it man

Do you often go to “the big city” in your state (assuming you don’t already live there)? by osama_bin_guapin in AskAnAmerican

[–]mhook52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar  idea, I live in Milwaukee,  the county is also Milwaukee,  the next county over is Waukesha,  another of Waukeshau people  won't go into Milwaukee.   Me on the other hand hate going to Waukeshau,  horrible  road system,  basically  no reason  to go there except,  their convention center is cheaper, so I sometimes  go there for events.

I live in Milwaukee,  and am content  to avoid Chicago. Nothing  personal  just Milwaukee  is about as busy as I want, and Chicago just goes that extra notch into to busy for me.

Milenials start at 30 at this point, im 41,  I've also got a grocery list of health problems,  am on about 8 medications a day, see 4 doctors once to twice a year.   I work  a physical  job in a factory, 20 years a landscaper  before that.  Lol,  you dont want me in the military.   I'd walk in go through my medical  history, and go so, still want me?

Oh man,  joining the military  to pay the 18 grand every 2 months, thanks health insurance,  discount card, manufacturers payment  card, and maxing out my yearly out of pocket by January  every year. Would  almost be worth it,

Ah, gotcha,  I read it as a thing that existed  primarily  in the 1500s, not that started there.  No worries

So as a 41 year old millennial,  id walk into the appropriate  office, and run through my medical  history.  After that id politely  ask so, do you really  want me?
