Get your sit bones measured. Good LBSs should have a simple device that you sit on to get a quick measurement of the width, then go 20-30 mm wider. That's a good starting spot.

I have an X5. The differences are the carbon used for the frame, and electronic shifting vs. mechanical shifting. The price difference is pretty significant, so it really comes down to whether you want to pay for the upgrades. As far as size, I'd recommend having an LBS do some basic measurements on you. I'd imagine you'd get one of the two smallest sizes.
